Rescuers have to remain positive no matter how impossible the odds because morale needs to be maintained to make any progress when lives are on the line.

I'm just going to point out the elephant in the room. This was purely negligent. They cut corners and tried to be cheap, which is why this happened. I feel so bad for the people on board who even though I don't know, know they were good people. I would sooner have built a literal elevator toe the bottom of the ocean than use that logitech sponsored submarine to move quality humans around.
