Germany has rebuilt their fleet and seems to think that just because our attention is on China they can get away with something. They are mistaken.

Britan and America fighting together . Why of course ater tea and crumpets . And some american Jack Daniels .
After all we Americans nead t teach you what good booze is 🤣
Definitely disappointed in the new German construction, but too bad for them!
I'll do the Times later but it is nice to see we beat the Chinese down so hard. The Germans have that little peninsula near Beijing by the way.
And we got Oman. Nice pickups all around.
Germany also has some colonial holdings in China, so if you want to rob them of all oversea territory you would have to visit there after a tour of the Pacific
At some point I’d love to see a campaign where you take on the entire world on legendary difficulty (no submarines, otherwise it’d be too difficult/annoying)
Might be a challenge
As of now, Germany is disappointing,
And I’d like France to be left till another time (for now, full allies), as I’d like to see some modern French ships, rather than ancient tubs, due to collapse or something
Maybe Italy or the US would be nice opponents, or taking Germany’s Chinese territory, and attacking Japan or something,
Soviets are kinda weak, but might be interesting if they build BB’s this time, as their hulls are, tough, and weird early on
Britain and America fighting together…those are fighting words my friend…
Tbh you probably could have won the china war with only the Dominions, but I also want to see pre-dreadnoughts taking some german ships over their knees
For target locking (which I'm getting constantly now), getting both main gun mounts to fire can keep it from happening. Annoying, to have to sail broadside all the time, but it works very often for myself
Secretary of the Admiralty Ricky Kopf
February 1917
Although HMS Perth was heavily damaged by a Chinese battlecruiser, it was thanks to her captain's sheer luck as well as the captain of the American protected cruiser Augusta. I had already sent a thank you letter to the Secretary of the Navy for how both her American crews and captain were when I received a note that the Germans have declared war on us. At the same time, some leaders who support the Ottoman Empire are opposed to British shipping through their waters. Admiral Munro decided on a "Germany first" policy for the Royal Navy, which stated that Germany must be dealt with first and foremost. The British Army also had plenty of activity. Despite failing to take Tibet, they put up an amazing defense in Kashmir while inflicting a 10:1 kill-to-death ratio on the Chinese. Later, the British Army decided to conduct another offensive against the last German colony in Africa, Burundi. The goal: drive them out of Africa for good like we did to the French in the Seven Years War. Speaking of colonies, we are proud to welcome the former Chinese colonies of Oman, Afghanistan, and Bhutan into the British Empire. I do hope the Afghans welcome our occupation with open arms because I hear some of them like to cause trouble from time to time. Meanwhile, on the North Sea, we have inflicted first blood on the newly rebuilt German Navy after sinking two of their battlecruisers, a destroyer, and some transports in a battle with HMS Tiger, HMS Concord, and, ironically, a Norwegian protected cruiser.
Join us next time as we see the battlecruisers HMS Courageous and HMS Furious engage a German convoy of 15 transports escorted by three capital ships and a destroyer.
Latest game update appears to have addressed the target locking issue (1.3.9)
4:20 enemy ship torps their own DD!
12:42: I like the fact that the USS Augusta's small shells force the transports to surrender. That seems more humane to me.
I see the Soviets invented land ships and have invaded Germany with them
De 13 of asking for HMS agincourt
13:07: Did the Americans finally offer an alliance without asking for money?
Could someone do a running tally of how many times certain names have been sunk?
You Just got RDF! Refit as you can.
small request for if u get to G class destroyers or updated light cruiser: Glowworm
At this point only other Germany peace, after stripping every colonial holding off the Germans
When China made peace you should have taken one of their Wei class ships, maybe start to make a collection of the weirdest or funniest ai ships just to see some of the crazy stuff it does
First Act in the North Sea
The Times: 12 February 1917
First act of the new war and first act of the alliance between the Kingdom of Norway and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland proved a success, with the HMS Tiger, lead ship of her 13.5” armed battlecruiser class, accompanied by a Myrtle class light cruiser the Royal Norwegian Navy ship HNMS Birkenhead and the C-Class destroyer HMS Concord coming upon a reported convoy of ten Lothringen class 7 thousand one 33 man crewed 3.2” armed transports escorted by the V-10 class destroyer V-32 and two Preußen class mixed main battery battlecruiser, the Preußen and the König Wilhelm at dusk.
Sighting the enemy, the HMS Tiger opened first as the two Preußen class ships attempted to close, but the HNMS Birkenhead got the first, if minor, hit. The HMS Tiger then hit one of the German battlecruisers twice. The HMS Concord was sent find the transports while the HNMS Birkenhead worked around the other side. One of the German battlecruisers hit the HMS Tiger aft, killing or injuring twenty-two while causing flooding of which the Tiger would get control. The HMS Tiger returned the favor hitting the Preußen and causing flooding aft that would reach 50% of the underwater compartments before being reduced to 40% while dodging two of HMS Concord’s torpedoes.
The V-32, which was attempting to attack the lighter allied ships was sunk by the HNMS Birkenhead, losing eighty-eight of her ninety-six man crew. The HMS Tiger took another hit, this time on her secondary tower that killed or injured seven men, then got hit again and lost the secondary tower for another twenty-nine crew. In return the HMS Tiger penetrated the main belt of the Preußen, adding flooding forward. The Preußen sank with 851 of her 912 man crew.
The HMS Tiger then turned her guns on the König Wilhelm and got a main belt penetration that destroyed a secondary gun, damaged the #2 engine, and started the ship flooding. In return the HMS Tiger took another hit aft that flooding three compartments that this time she could not control. The HMS Tiger switched to using high explosives on the König Wilhelm and eventually the ship, flooding aft in four compartments and having two engines down, had to be abandoned to fires by the one hundred surviving crew members.
By this time the HMS Concord and the HNMS Birkenhead had found the transports and the HNMS Birkenhead was approaching the rear most column while the HMS Concord attacked the lead column. The HNMS Birkenhead sank the Wittelsbach IV with all but five of her crew. The HNMS Birkenhead then sank the Aninius, Schleswig-Holstein II, and Kaiser Karl der Grosse #5, leaving eight survivors, none from the Schleswig-Holstein II. The HMS Concord sunk the Graf Spee V, Kaiser Wilhelm der Grosse #4, Ägir V, Lothringen II, and Prinz Eitel Friedrich #3, leaving sixteen survivors.
Despite the very dangerous battle they fought, the HMS Concord and HNMS Birkenhead suffered no casualties. The HMS Tiger took seventy-eight officers and ratings killed or seriously wounded.
Peace Treaty with Republic of China
The Times: 5 January 1917
Ever since the revolution in China in August the diplomatic community has wondered when the new Republic would make an offer of peace. Some argued that the United Kingdom was delaying until they had taken control of the protectorate of Oman. Naval affairs analysts insisted that peace would be delayed until the Home Fleet had demonstrated its power in Chinese Waters. Military affairs analysts insisted that peace would not be possible until the liberation of Tibet.
The Republic of China has been working to keep control of its few provinces, with the Soviet Union and the Republic of France fighting a war on their territory. But their campaigns to gain control of Kashmir and Northern India has seen failure and enormous losses, 462,508 in Kashmir and 65,950 in India against British losses of 49,576 and 5,563. Even their successful defense of Tibet cost them 26,806 to the Royal Army’s 31,557. Their attempt to take Hong Kong has failed long ago and Oman is now a protectorate of the United Kingdom.
The Republic of China asked for peace negotiations last month after firing their It-kip siōng-chiòng Du Shiehang, whose naval policy has seen them lose the bulk of their fleet, and replace him with a more rationale admiral, Deng Xigui. With Naval support secured their proposal was to pay a war indemnity of $1,323,263,200 to get the Royal Navy out of the East China Sea. The Foreign Ministry’s counter proposal was for the Chinese to hand over their protectorates of Afghanistan and Bhutan, two territories they can hardly even reach, and a sum of $958,023,200. To this they agreed.

Soviet Union Offers Alliance and Entanglements
The Foreign Ministry has rejected an offer of formal alliance from the Soviet Union, explaining that this would entangle the United Kingdom in too many conflicts at the same time. The Supreme Soviet is reportedly very unhappy.
The Sudden but Inevitable Declaration of War
The Times: 8 December 1916
The Republic of Germany, apparently bothered that Royal Navy Ships are sailing home through the North Atlantic, has demanded that the Royal Navy provide funds to ‘invest’ in the Germany economy as a sign of our friendship. This is not friendship, so the answer is no.
The Hun has again declared war on the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and the Empire of India. We predict this will not go well for them.
The Colonial Forces in Rwanda have already been alerted to expect to start operations to liberate Burundi.
Our Yankee Cousins
The Times: 13 November 1916
With improving relations with the United States Navy the USS Augusta, a Savannah class protected cruiser, and the Tribune class semi-armoured cruiser HMS Perth were assigned a mission to patrol the coast of the rump Chinese Republic looking for merchant ships to sink. In this they were successful, finding four Neijiang class 12 thousand ton 49 man crewed merchant ships. Unfortunately they were in convoy with a strong escort from the Chinese Republic Navy, the Wei class pre-dreadnought Tauketok, and three Pinggu class destroyers, the Ertang Tai'an, and Huolu. The USN and Royal Navy Captains agreed to skirt the escorts and try to close on the convoy. The Ertang attempted to disrupt this by closing on the HMS Perth and attempting to torpedo her. Fortunately the one torpedo the HMS Perth wasn’t able to dodge proved to be a dud. Unfortunately the HMS Perth then took a 9.3” hit and was forced to retreat, leaving the mission to the USS Augusta. The HMS Perth took a 10.8” hit that caused flooding aft, slowing her retreat. The USS Augusta focused her fire on the Huolu while trying to keep track of the transports and the HMS Perth kept her fire on the Tai’an, causing flooding fore and aft which sank the ship. The USS Augusta hit the Huolu destroying her forward main gun.
The USS Augusta now was in range of the transports, and with her 3.1” and 3.3” guns quickly caused all four to surrender. The Chaolong, Xinjiang, Zhongshan, and Neijiang all heaved to and signaled their surrender after taking casualties.
As the HMS Perth tried to claw her way from the Tauketok she took another 9.3” hit that damaged #2 engine, destroyed a 3” casemate gun, and caused more flooding. She was able to slowly pull away while the USS Augusta turned on the Huola with all her fire. The Chinese destroyer was quickly sunk.
With the HMS Perth damaged and flooding and the USS Augusta without torpedoes, the two protected cruisers pulled away from the battle, having performed their primary mission of sinking Chinese merchant ships and the bonus of sinking three destroyers.
The Royal Navy suffered ninety-four casualties. The United States Navy suffered nineteen. The Chinese Republic Navy suffered three hundred fifty-five. The Chinese Merchant Marine suffered ninety-eight and lost 46 thousand tons of shipping capacity.
4:19 freindly torpedo fire
Renown vs Scharnhosrts didn't go too well for the Scharnhorsts, so I think we know how double the 15"s will go 😛
Hadn't started a campaign for some time, forgot about the bugged scaling for Mk3 4" guns – no 4.7" for me I guess. Does the balance mod touch any of that? I'm a little surprised given you're being reasonably historic that you're using 5" destroyer guns, I found them generally less attractive than the "proper" guns. No barbette to worry about & in vanilla at least, their punch with superheavy shells is just right for a lot of things.
The good thing about Tiger taking flooding hits is that she finally slows from a churning flank speed, gaining what looks to be nearly a 20% accuracy boost! 😅
I only just started playing again with 1.3.6 and it's amazing fun. But I noticed you have a political world map whereas mine only shows the same colour for all provinces. Is that a mod?
HAY, the Americans finally make an appearance. Looks like a modernized St Louis Class cruiser. Clearly its the same Hull as the Perth, but still its nice to see her.
A suggestion for our admirals for multi CL vrs BB convoy engagement.
Unless you intend for your ship, and its crew to die for king and country attempting to defeat the vast and overgunned platform that is a ship literally built to win battles, hence a BATTLE SHIP. Please initially direct one ship at the known or suspected direction of the transports, then turn all other ships to a 45 degree course to port or starboard to maintain separation from any BB in escort.
When separation between our ships reaches 1 to 2 kilometers, turn the flank force to face known or suspects transport current course and direct the waykeeper to turn to join them.
Should the BB still be fairly close to your current course, allow the original waykeeper to pass by the flank force to move to a second flanking position a kilometer or two further to your side before again turning to pursue the course of the transports and bring the initial flankers to join them.
Instead of sailing right through the battleships guns, keep your distance with flanking turns and use one ship to keep the correct track should you lose sight of the transports in fog/mist/weather.
