If you have grass seeds licking sound in storage (the ones that just say “grass seed”) you can plant them in the animal pen. Once the grass appears as that little tuft, the Vombat has a chance each morning to munch on grass instead of eating animal food. Saves a bit of animal chow. Plus it makes the animal pen look a bit greener. 🙂
The silo will automatically fill any animal feeder within an 8 tile radius each morning (the tile the silo sits on counts as one of the 8 according to the wiki picture). I think the feeders are in range where you had them.
