Invincible is an Image Comics Universe series named for its superhero, “Invincible” (“Mark Grayson”). Created by writer Robert Kirkman and artist Cory Walker, Invincible first appeared in Tech Jacket #1 (October 2002), before graduating to his own self-titled regular series in 2003, as the premier title in Image’s then-new superhero line.
Invincible is the teenaged son of Omni-Man, an extraterrestrial superhero of the Viltrumite race. Invincible inherited his father’s superhuman strength and ability to fly and he has sworn to protect the Earth. He has had trouble adjusting to his newfound powers and coping with the reality of his origins.

The comic series ran for 144 issues over 12 years. There’s more than enough story and not all of it involves Omni-Man and the Viltrumites. Season 2 & 3 are going to be awesome!
Also, all the death and blood is in the. comics too. It’s following along the same lines. Actions have consequences in their world. Some anime is just as brutal so it’s not new to animation overall.
Hilarious and ironic how glenn needed to wait 7 seasons in the walking dead to have his head turned into hamburger meat yet here in invincible its the first season finale.

I'm sorry, but WTF Amber? Why is she trying to make a move on Mark while he’s in a vulnerable position? After literally learning his dad is a planet conquering monster, literally used his body to kill nearly millions of people, beat the piss out of him, and was left in the hospital again for quite some time? The timing of all this is to good to be just a coincidence.
Also, her saying, “I guess I’m the only one being lied to.”, makes her sound worse. She’s literally comparing Mark not telling her his identity (Which is the equivalent of like sharing his credit card number with her.), to Mark’s dad literally being an earth-conquering soldier. ALSO, if what she’s saying is true, then that basically means that if Mark’s Dad wasn’t evil and was just your all-around super dad, then she wouldn’t have came back and “forgiven” Mark. Right? RIGHT?!?!?!?!?!?!?
F*** off Amber. And F*** off the people who thought that creating her like this was genius.
Believe it or not, the brutality of that fight is a litmus test for what's to come (if they stick close to the story) 😳
I’m sure someone has mentioned it but info we more or less have from the comic at this point is:
Vilturmitea heal really well and fast, it’s how mark survived at all
When they heal they heal tougher and stronger
As they age they naturally grow stronger ( hence mark having some much trouble with his dad who got couple 1000 under his belt ) so give mark time ( and enough ass woopings, dude takes them like a champ we can give him that ) and you can bet mark will see a power spike
Why doesn't Atom Eve simply turn Ominmans blood to iron, or brain to chocolate chip cookies? Tada he dead.

When I rewatched this episode it hit me that this is Nolan convincing HIMSELF of his mission. The VA by everyone was at an elite level, especially Steven Yeun and JK Simmons
Viltramites are like SSJ the closer they get to death the stronger they become after recovering. Wait for the next villain.

Just like the comics the blood and gore in this first season isn't shit. Everyone working on the show said the real blood and craziness is in the second season. Where second season starts the same timing in the comics really went off the rails with the fights and shit.
Arcane, Andor, Puss in Boots the Last Wish, Lonesome Dove, One Cut of the Dead, The Goes Wrong Show season 1. Hope someday you all will witness these masterpieces.

They mention a "coalition" of planets. There are probably really strong heros on other planets that will help. Also, if Omniman sees there's a path forward with the coalition he may decide to help fight against Viltrum.

FINALLY! I’ve been waiting for this.
Shows like invincible and the boys do well showing what damage would actually happen if people had superpowers, and how things don’t always work out well if you have powers. Like yeah Mark caught the building but the force shattered the windows and people fell to their deaths,you never see that happen to Superman.
My question is why was he being a hero and saving people
The green light for both season 2 and 3 of Invincible actually came very fast (April 2021). It's just production that is pretty slow. Hopefully due to them going for high quality.
