Cohh. I work in a different industry but you sir nailed it on the soul crushing bit. The work ethics barely matter. All it does is make it so you do more of other peoples work. It was literally punishing me for doing better. I'm currently working to try and get out. Thanks for sharing your experience with the IT industry. It's actually inspiring and refreshing to hear your view on past jobs like that.

I feel you on the soul-sucking job. I'm 46 and mildly disabled (limited in what I can do). I have such a hard time finding a job I can do. I want to sell my writing, but it's tough for a new author. I have ideas for animated series, I can write the scripts and I can even voice all the characters, but I can't figure out Blender. It's tough no matter which way I go. I want to start a gaming channel, but I know that will take a long time to get anywhere. This whole world just sucks.
The best thing about new Steam UI is the fact it is consuming 3% of CPU in idle and 500mb of RAM… it is joke.
