This New World exploit will let you turn lumber into steel, wyrdwood into starmetal, and ironwood into orichalcum ingots. It’s a really cool New World glitch that lets you convert your wood into metal, which is really nice when you have excess wood.

Also you get to level up New World engineering fast with this trick. It’s a really neat way to grind out starmetal and steel, even orichalcum.

Now you know the New world crafting cheat, hopefully there are more to come.

  1. It is really impressive how many people just watch the exploit reporting section of the forums and then make videos encouraging players to exploit known bugs.

  2. Of course this is intended, due to the fact the common converter exist. You shouldn't do this because the mat ratio becomes big and your benefit becomes a coinflip. In addition, you lose progression on smelting which reduces the bonuses you get over time which are stronger high lvl.To create lumber you need sandpaper which exactly the same rarity as sandflax. For 100 faction token, where one mission give 6 of them you can convert with a very small loss of 5 ingots per 15 ingots. With this trick you lose definitely more ingots per 15 crafted. 1 kill is 100 tokens. Convert, level smelting equally profit from bonus high lvl smelting nets 500 ingots crafted can get 100 bonus that's where the profit margin increases ,the higher tier the craft the max the worth. Don't do this you lose not only longterm but in the short term because mats you don't use you can traded or hunt for trading hubs to sell higher.

  3. dont do this unless you want to be banned. youre not allowed to exploit bugs that are in the game amazon has said. this is not a intended feature just like power farming exploit which is now a bannable offense has stated by the moderation team in the official website

  4. This isn't a good method. Are we just gonna ignore the fact you are trading 1 leather 5 iron ingots and 11 lumber (which means 11 sandpaper) for around 2-3 steel (2-3 sandflux)? Why not just craft things people actually want, sell it, use the gold to craft more, or just farm more materials?
