Reaching 1300 Item Level, or Tier 3 content, in Lost Ark is not as difficult as it may seem. AND NO, you don’t have to spend any money when trying to do so. In fact, I would argue that many of you are simply missing a few easy sources of materials (or you have terrible RNG LOL).

In this video, I will discuss all of the sources of materials that I used when trying to upgrade my characters item level. These methods include Chaos Dungeons, Guardian Raids, Daily Quests, Vendors, Gear Transfer, Abyss Dungeons, and much more. Additionally, I will also have links down below going over the islands used in order to reach Tier 3 content. Hopefully, by the end of this guide you will have a better idea on how to acquire mats to upgrade your characters to reach tier 3 content.

(You need the song of harmony and to complete all of the horse quests to finish the island. This island is a lot of work, but honestly it is so worth it. I am sure you can find other video guides online as well)

  1. A Few Extra Things I Wanted to Include:

    Abyss Dungeons – These may be a bit more difficult for newer players; however, the materials offered at the end of completion are definitely worth it. Always take the extra loot at the end of the dungeon if you need upgrade materials. Also, you can craft your legendary dungeon set that will provide a solid damage boost. Just be sure to transfer your upgrades from your blue gear onto your legendary gear using the Honing Vendor.

    Chaos Gates – Do not miss these!! The maps earned in these chaos gates are worth a lot of gold. Each map you receive opens a hidden dungeon that drops harmony shards + Moons Breath (+20% chance on your upgrades). You will need these shards and Breaths in order to ensure you land your +14 upgrades!! It's best to bring a group of friends with you on these maps and have them trade the materials they receive to you! If you have no friends (like me), just find other people with a similar map and do them together!

    Boss Rush – These can be done solo (preferably in a group) and give a TON of Leap Stones. The tickets to these have a random chance of dropping from Chaos Dungeons. You can only earn them during your first 2x Chaos Dungeons of the day. You also have a chance at earning a ticket from buying a loot box at your Guild Vendor!

    Cubes – CUBES ARE FAT LOL. The tickets to these also come from Chaos Dungeons. If you receive a cube ticket, BE SURE TO DO THEM IN A GROUP. YOU DON'T WANT TO FAIL! At the end, you will receive ~25 Moon Breaths. These are huge when trying to upgrade your weapon during the +14-+15 Range!

    Tower – The tower can be done on alts first in order to gain materials on your main; however, I did not do this. I like to save my tower clear for alt characters. It is up to you!

    Lastly, DO NOT BUY GOLD IN THIS MARKET! It is a complete RIP OFF. You don't need it even if you feel like you are behind. You are not. There is nothing really going on at Tier 3 anyways LOL.   7. No offense, but a lot of you experienced players fucked us by not telling us about stuff like keeping your cards and other stuff. I get you want to be a huge fukboi and have the highest level stuff and make money off us inexperienced players but it's kind of shitty imo. You still would have been ahead of us w/o having to get ahead to make gold on us as we Tier up. I watched a lot of your videos and you left out soooooooo much that could have helped us. Just saying…pretty shitty if you wanted this game to succeed. That's why so many of us are behind and I'm guessing will likely quit once they realize just how bad they are behind and what it will take to catch up.

  8. One huge thing to not forget is being lucky on tapping. Watched a friend miss 12+ taps trying to get from 14>15 to get out of rohendel. I’ve missed 3 90% back to back to back. Someone in my guild has been sitting at T3 for awhile bc he barely failed.

    Also if you do the spire/tower in any major city do it on an alt first and then your main so your main can get honing mats

  11. guide for eu players ? getting ilvl 1300 without crystal aura ,shop, dungeons, chaos dungeons, abys dungeons and max 3 hours of game time per day because 30.000 people q ?

  15. Is there a reccomended build for zerker? I notice on the other server you're 1500ish using mayhem and on this one you dont have it. I'm trying to figure out what to build for engravings

  16. There is no p2w tho. You die one shot like everyone else to same mechanics. Pay to be a fool maybe. Pvp is equalized stats/gear/lvl.
    Kudos and gratz on 1300+ if i didnt have kids id be there too lol. Just broke 1k

Some of this just feels like platitudes, a friend and myself have been hard stuck at +13-14 for days because we just constantly fail the enchants to reach 600 and it's killing our desire to continue playing. You mention Mari's shop, but that just sounds like tapping out and swiping a credit card to advance.

  34. was kinda hoping to see an actual day by day breakdown of what happened because you can find this exact info everywhere right now but you can't see anyone actually doing it, which leads me to think that a lot of these people either spent a lot of real life money (and maybe lied about it) or abused the auction house to flip stuff for insane profits and bought a lot the upgrade mats.

    Like I've done all these activities from day 1 before the servers went public and im still barely hitting 1.3k now, I definitely could have optimized it a bit and gotten there a day or two earlier but people did it way earlier than that. Im obviously missing something super important that a lot of these other players are doing. And yes I still played like 16hour days, its not a played time thing. Is it an rng thing? I failed maybe 10 crafts on the way to +15 in t2, 2 of those were +14 weapons (im still +14 too so still more fails to go), but im pretty sure thats below average

  35. For anyone on the edge or still considering playing the game due to P2W fears or concerns.
    Here is my perspective as a Wow veteran, deeply against mobile and pay2win games.

    I'm currently at 1325 ilvl (could be higher but there's no need atm)
    I have 26k Blue crystals (shop currency) thats equivalent to about 450$ – 500$ at current gold rates, only to go up with inflation and gold availability.
    16k raw gold, I don't like to sit on a lot of gold.

    All this was possible by playing a lot and researching a shit ton, there's a lot of min max optimization that you can do that pushed you in to further content couple of day earlier and that has a snowball effect.

    All this has been done on a 24$ spent on the Silver Pack that I used to buy the lvl 50 (2600 blue crystals) after receiving another 150 crystals or w/e they sent us with the duplicated silver chest.

    You can swipe for anything in the game, you 100% do not have to and without people swiping I would not be able to progress at this pace.

    I had no prior Lost ark experience, I played on RU until lvl 30. Stoopzz help and Saintone's guide is what I used while playing.
    The game can feel overwhelming at first, at least that what my friends say, there's a lot of systems.
    But once you see them in-game, try them, it all feels natural.
