  1. Too much credit is given to the British. There are so many more individuals out of Scotland who have done far more amazing things than any Brit. Out of Scotland comes the Bible and the interpreters and the Holy Ghost filled men who made the laws of Britain. Gods people in the isle are of Scotland, not so much Britain.

  2. As soon as it mentioned Wallace was born in 'Elderslie' it was time to switch off. He was born in Ellerslie, which was a small hamlet near Kilmarnock that no longer exists, and his origins now falsely attributed to Elderslie because it simply sounded like it. He campaigned in and around Ellerslie, attacked the English troops in the ancient burghs of Ayr and Irvine (right next to Ellerslie, incidentally), and all his family connections were also from around Ayrshire. Anyone who wants the bona fide Wallace story should read Dr Mckay's biography of him. All the true facts are there. To still claim the Elderslie connection shows that this is truly amateur hour and just as fictitious as the Mel Gibson film, as brilliant as that was.

  3. It's not true that Sir William Wallace died terribly at the hands of King Edward's executioners. In fact, after having a bit of a fall from grace in his later years, he was arrested for drunk driving in California, whereupon he unleashed an antisemitic tirade upon the constabulary. Sir William Wallace is now reportedly quietly living out his remaining years in Mexico, mostly hidden away from public eye.

Historians have also recently uncovered new evidence that calls into question his early, formative years. It still appears to be certain that the brutal death of his wife was what caused his sudden shift towards violent rebellion, but was not at the hands of English soldiers garrisoned at his village in the Scottish highlands. Instead, historians now believe that his young wife was run-down by a post-apocalyptic biker gang known as Clan O'ToeCutter somewhere in the lawless Australian outback. Furthermore, it shockingly appears he had also had a son who was cut down with her, although there is some contention to this fact.

Naturally this angered him to a tremendous degree, and in some of the contemporary literature at the time it was said he was mad to the utmost degree; "Maximum Madness", or more simply…"Mad Max".
