Part 1- Space Marine Index Review Video – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LusWx5Ffo0
CORRECTIONS:
– Uriel Ventris provides dee strike to any one infantry unit, doesn't have to be his own.
– Pedro's attacks buff works on ALL weapons his squad's equipped with, not just melee ones. Means that he buffs the bolter damage output of sternguard or intercessors, which seems actually very solid for a turn's shooting.
With the amount of 0CP Stratagems you can get I'm looking forward to having like a big blob of 10 Hellblasters led by a Captain and Lieutenant (+Bolter Discipline enhancement?) and backed up with Guilliman for an eye-watering volley of 20 8/-3/2 shots with Lethal Hits (+Sustained Hits and 5+ crits with the enhancement), a second round of shooting if they die and 2 free Strats. Hell throw Honor Vehement onto the Captain and when the unit dies he can charge something and go rage mode with Finest Hour. I feel like the first few months of this Edition are gonna be absolutely nuts lmao
I predict that competitive players will gravitate towards named characters to get melee weapons up to D3 – this seems difficult to achieve, otherwise…
Why in the name of Vulkans big heart is that Adrax can't pair with Bladeguard veterans, is the unit which most sinenergises with him
I know the Ultramarines have ultra plot armor, but jesus christ this seems ridiculously
I want more raven guard characters
No moondrakken
No Anzuq
No Bladeguard attachment
Whats a master of the hunt to do😕?
Frankly I hate this because they basically have taken all the negatives of getting rid of subfactions and used them. Characters now have the reprisentative abilites of their chapter but can only lead a single squad as there is only one of them mabey two (unless your the fucking ultramarines of course in which case take as many buff characters as you like). Added to this you can't mix and match character from different chapters which as far as I can see is the only reason you would ditch the subfaction rules.
I saw khan on a bike datasheet in the warhammer app
I have discovered some weird Keyword problems that seems to mostly affect the Primaris Epic Heros that don't wear Gravis Armor, which is actually quite a few of them. The basic problem is that the Tacticus and Phobos keywords were not put on any of the Epic Heros. Gravis was, but not the other Primaris armor keywords. The way the transport restrictions are currently written, none of the non-Gravis Epic Heros could ride in an Impulsor. Impulsor's can ONLY accomodate Tacticus and Phobos models, and those keywords were not added to the Primaris Epic Heros, so no riding in the Primaris transport for them. They CAN ride in a Repulsor though because it starts by allowing all Adeptus Astartes Infantry and then has exceptions. They could also ride in a Land Raider, Repulsor, or Drop Pod. On the other hand, Epic Heros CAN ride in a Rhino or Razorback because those exclude Primaris by using the armor type keywords. None of the Primaris squads they could lead could ride in a Rhino or Razorback, but a non-Gravis Epic Hero could. All of the Non-Epic Primaris Characters have one of the three armor keywords, so they don't have the same problems. It's just the Epic Heros where they only used Gravis and forgot the other two armor keywords.
There is also a minor Issue with Suppressors, who didn't get a Primaris Armor keyword either. However, they do have the Jump Pack keyword which kicks them out of most of the transports that they shouldn't be allowed to ride in as Primaris. They can't ride in an Impulsor, even though they probably should be able to since they aren't Gravis. That isn't as much of a pressing problem though since they can fly and have lots of movement, but it should probably get fixed as well.
Of course, this problem does NOT seem to have been repeated in the non-Codex-compliant indicies that were released today. Those seem to have the correct armor keywords on all their Primaris Epic Heros. Hopefully that means they already noticed and fixing this problem will be part of an FAQ to address day-1 problems with the index.
Disappointing that Shrike can't join other phobos units. The codex isn't too far out, so maybe we'll get a new kind of unit he can join. But now it's kinda lame that he can't really lead a vanguard themed force without going solo.
It's a real struggle to be a fan of Codex Compliant Astartes without being a fan of Ultramarines
You're making videos faster than I can watch them! 😂😂
Chronus always got out when his vehicle died, that why he has 2 minis
Wow, Marneus combined with Victrix Guard and Baldeguard Vets looks like an extremely fun and smashy combo. And Tigurius looks like a psychic machine gun with leadership buffs. Too bad his unit selection is very narrow, Iam not sure, with what to combine him with
The sicarius and chronos cards only reinforce my suspicion that the recent 'made to order' model releases were to clear the old models out of the warehouse before the new primaris models are released this autumn. My order arrived within a week!
Dang, you really feel the lack of non-blue options, with the other chapters having only a couple of characters. It's really disappointing that Guilliman can't lead the other chapters and makes zero sense. He's in charge of the whole thing! And if a freaking Primarch shows up and starts giving orders, is a chapter really going to tell them to screw off because they're wearing the wrong color?
I hope these guys are pointed appropriately I just looked at the chaos codex and it has the worst hqs aside from abbadon. Their abilities are just kind of bad. Also I think lethal hits are overrated on a lot of units nurgle demons had what is essentially lethal hits on their whole army and it didn’t matter because they were weak ass weapon profiles . We used to have exploding 6’s without having to take a leadership test lol chaos space marines are loooking weak as hell compared to standard marines
A clarification on Uriel Ventris is that he can grant deep strike to any infantry unit in your army, not just the unit he is in.
the shrike rules give me hope that my thousand sons characters on disc of tzeench will also get lone operative
I think you also missed that Calgar has FNP 4 if Guard is part of the unit, will help against precision attacks, looks as a nice bonus
How does Kantors tiny fist do 3 damage but Tors only does 2 lmfao so stupid
Vulkan He’Stan is still Finecast, right? How comes a Space Marine leader like that did not get an update, yet?
Imagine Uriel giving 6 centurion devastators deep strike
