I enjoyed the demo. Gameplay was smooth, visuals were outstanding, and writing was reminiscent of the first 4 GOT seasons. However, I'm not jumping on the pre-order as much as I'd like since experiencing more dialogue/cutscenes than gameplay during demo. Hoping the game is more action rarther than narrative focused.
I'm guessing a Morbol, is a weaker version of a Malboro. Cause Malboros wreck end-game teams if they are unprepared, so this kid beating one in his first serious outing would be a serious power move.
Those are some terrible gatekeepers.
So is there no MP/AP in this game? It doesn't cost anything to use your magic or abilities?
aside from Tonberry, Malboro is one of noteworthy enemies in FF series, and it shows this early? This FF gotta be awesome!

I mean, yeah, you're right about the cutscenes. They are very long and there are a lot of them. It's not so much important to me since I don't have the money to actually play these games and just watch. But for players, if they're not already fans of the FF style of storytelling, I imagine it would be cumbersome.
I remember the Malboro giving me fits back in the day. Going against that thing without protection from all the status effects it would drop on you was a bad idea. Is the Morbol meant to be the same creature? Or is it (ahem) a Malboro Light?

My only concern with this game is that there's no option to turn off motion blur in the game settings
I swear when I was playing the demo the kid sounds like Hugo's voice actor (I think that's the character's name lol) from Plague Tale.

This is shaping up to be something special. I'm already invested emotionally and appreciate it all the story buildup and establishment of the character relationships and such(the brothers love and envy of each other's positions was well told imo, been good use of body language and camera work in the cutscenes) I also appreciate the world building and how integrated magic is in mundane life. Instead of messenger pigeons it's owls that transmit thoughts cus why not? Not enough games do things like this imo.

I’ve been bouncing around the vids. The Game of Thrones influence is heavy. You can see who your Jon Snow is, your Eddard Stark, what is modeled after winter fell, king’s landing, etc etc. quite awesome.
I appreciate you pulling up the lore tab every now and then so we can understand better. I hope you can remember to keep doing it in the later episodes too!
Game looks amazing so far, but 5 or 6 staggers on the Morbol boss makes me a little worried the boss fights might be too easy. It’s just the first boss so far though so hopefully I’m wrong.
