I’m not understanding the game’s popularity. It has been very boring for me so far. Does it get way better later or something? Plays like a mobile game from 2014 or something. Just auto run and spam g to get through quest dialogue (the story was so boring i started skipping)… then realized everything is boring. I just don’t get it, wish i did.
I don’t like how they make always fun of asmon because of his hair, I know he say he doesn’t care but think about it. He doesn’t look comfortable. Is not about white knight. Just something to think. He has been through a lost not so long ago and is not good for anybody to be spam in chat their hair lost… just saying.
Okay Asmongold… Normally your game suggestions have been pretty good, but this game has to be the most Boring game I've ever played.
I decided to start off with the Bard hoping that playing a support class would be challenging. I've played healers in nearly every MMO I've ever played and loved the challenge.
The trouble I'm having is I'm so incredibly OP that everything dies in seconds and most quests I can simply run past any mobs that get in my way.
It's far to boring for me. I'll keep watching though and hoping for a great MMO that brings back that feeling I had when I first logged into UO, DAoC, and even Vanilla WoW.
It's been years since I've felt that.

All the things over there are things you don't need to buy.
At the expense of a little hassle and discomfort, you can do it without any of the things you sell there.
I am Korean and I did so on the Korean server and came to level 1385 in about three or four months.
The only place I spent money on is buying avatars.
And the ship I'm on is still level 2 of "Estoke. Sometimes I envy people who ride fast ship, but they arrive when they smoke or watch YouTube videos.
Don't get me wrong, I fuckin love Sywo but I absolutely lost my shit when he said "a piece of pants." I'm EU scum also and I know it's just his accent but hearing him say those words literally broke me for a good 5 minutes.

Ill say the thing about the Sail for instance..its a one time purchase and you never will again.
A sub would be every month which would be way more money in the longrun..

After playing the game for about 4 hours last night my first impressions are. Fun game play although there aren't many challenges. It feels a bit automated and simple but thats not uncommon of modern video game design. The graphics feel a bit dated and remind of BDO style graphics whether thats a good or bad thing is purely subjective. Voice acting is awful its like they didn't even try. Story isn't really grabbing me yet but I have mostly just been skipping dialogue so I guess that could be my fault. I havent really got too far into the game so I'm hoping there's more to it. Gunner class is cool.
Meh. I'm buying that ship today. Travel is one of the things that can be a pain. Just point the ship and it's automatic, yeah I can definitely get behind that. It's a good game so I don't mind supporting it in that type of way. I mean the sub is 10 dollars at most so I think I can handle a few one time purchases to make it a little more convenient
So glad Sywo is getting attention through Asmon. He is so wholesome and knows Lost Ark inside out. Totally deserves it!

Lost ark is one of the worst in terms of how many systems they dump on you. God damn the UI is so cluttered.
Not sure if Asmon addressed this point, but the reason many people prefer this model over burning crusade is it feels much better to play multiple games.
One subscription game is fine, but if WoW, FF, and Lost Ark all required subscriptions, you’d have to pay over $500 a year if you want to play all 3 games each month.
When you look at those numbers, a $15 convenience item sounds a lot better than being forced to subscribe if u don’t want to commit your life to one game
I don’t mind there being a cash shop that gives minor convenience advantages if it allows me to play without a sub and play the game at an enjoyable pace. I can’t afford multiple sub games each month.
Limiting travel options unless you cash up 10 euros per month is both expensive and scumbag tactic IMO. Their crystaline aura shoud cost 5EUR/month or 40EUR /year.
