wow, I find myself hugely disagreeing with Asmongold. I like ALL content to be accessible in easy and hard modes, because then everyone can at least experience the content. You won't get the rewards, but at least you get to see it, even as a casual.
And then there's that statement about 4-6 months of content. Really? No! It's maybe a few hours of content. After which you're just repeating THE SAME content over and over again. I really dislike this kind of game design and ALL MMOs do it. The only way around would be more procedural content with randomized elements.

Yeah but those games that are successful in Asia and Malaysia are looked at as low quality compared to the games we play here in the West yeah they may be popular because that's pretty much what they have access to. Like mobile gaming is bigger and countries where it is not common for people to have a computer or a console and phones are just much easier to obtain. But you come to the West and ask any West in her like what phone game you're really into most are going to look at you like a crazy very few even consider gaming on the phone. At least in any serious capacity. I play phone games even though I know most are just predatory and that's the only reason why I don't take them to seriously is because they all seem to design to just take my money instead of actually delivering a gaming experience.

If Lost Ark dies in the west it's because we are game abusers and addicted to abusing games. This video only proves that rushing is useless and Asmon plays the game how it's supposed to be.

I quit lost Ark and uninstalled after completing most of the main story line and up to the point you get your stronghold. The mobile mechanics (Pay to build/research faster) and the 1000s of unnecessary different currencies turned me off for good. Its a shame because the combat was decent but I would be a fool to put more time into Lost Ark. And now I know there's gambling just to upgrade your gear?? nope im good.

systems in for western releases. The game will do fine but its not going to have the growing numbers like it has in other regions.
The problem with videos like this is that there's no frame of reference to 99% of the people watching it as they've never played the game.
OH WOW, BIG NUMBER, MUST TAKE LONG, however it completely lacks any nuance of people never fully upgrading each and every single one of their gear pieces, the various other sources to get the materials outside of the dailies or weeklies like chests, log in rewards etc. Absolutely nobody except for the 1% of the playerbase will minmax to the absolute possible peak. Anybody playing the game casually or just enjoying it, won't face the problem of ever grinding these ridiculous sums of materials as they'll just engage in horizontal content instead.
This type of fearmongering will turn away people because in their tiny minds they think they have to go through this grind, which is not true.
i think it's important to remember that there is a reason why PVP is so popular in this game. once you get end game & experience that very long grind of getting mats, PVP is really the thing that is going to actually drive gameplay (since there's really not much else to do at that point). Thankfully, PVP is really well done in this game with constant balances, and it also allows you the chance to practically play every and any class since everyone is placed in arena with nothing but the skills they possess to play. Of course, I don't doubt that LA will experience a huge drop point once everyone gets to that point, because not every person wants to do PVP or enjoys it.

Can you enter the dungeons or raids?
YES, you can because you have enough gear scores to enter by the system.
Can you clear?
NO, because you are too weak lacking skill points and other grinding factors at day 1.
Chances are you won't even be accepted to the parties because they can see your character info and it gives away you are a complete noob in the game just whaling with cash and will most likely fuck up the raid.
The only way you can do Day 1 whaling is by paying others to play with you and even still the farthest you can get to is Viakiss at most.
And btw we are not even looking at couple grands. Money figures of hitting all +25 like in the clip will easily go five digits if not six in dollars.
Is Lost Ark P2W? Yes. There's no denying that.
Is the guy in the clip telling you the truth? No, he is overexaggerating for fun.
You CAN enter the raids.
You CAN'T clear the raids.
Thus you CAN'T enjoy the raids.
I just wanted to make it clear so people don't get the wrong idea and waste their money.

if only he knew that the game is basicly unplayable in the EU because amazon cant even handle the servers for a game heavily relying on instances and loadingscreens…
Asmon I love your vids man. Please never stop. I don't watch any twitch streamers or youtube streams except yours. In the beginning I didn't understand the hype around you or streamers in general. I didn't get it. Now I 100% am on board bud. Pretty much every video you release is exactly the content I want to see. I dont know how you do it but you are tapped into to real gamers.
