  1. As well in order to ptw on the actual cash shop ur looking at about $5000 usd per item from 24-25 so if your paying that then you deserve to ptw. As well what is the advantage ??? If anything the only people getting a advantage is us free players having whales dump cash while we reap the rewards from there power creep.

  2. soooooo its ptw right ??? in order to ptw u need to buy gold to then buy mats in auction….. Normal players sell there gold for crystals so whales are legit making us ftp players rich as well it legit works both ways. In fact crystals are wayyy more valuable then gold. Gold drops in price crystals go up i sell every gold i get i have 20k crystals atm lol…. i started selling gold @ 76 gold per 100 crystals. To put that in perspective in Korea its now 1700 gold for 1 crystal XDDDD. So all u ptw people thank u for buying my gold ama be rich as fuck later on. Hones gold cost is static so if it cost 20g to hone atm it will stay that way forever but every day my crystals go up in value. So in a few months honing will be like pennies to me.

  3. "I don't even know what a lot of the stuff in the store, uh, of this game even does"
Yeah…so you're literally recycling the same misinformation being shared across the internet for views and clicks.
The upgrades are purchased through Blue crystals, (Mari's shop), which are bought in-game through gold. Both are farmed by f2p
Paying to exchange Royal crystals -> Blue Crystals is incredibly expensive and inefficient, it's been proven by nearly all top KR/RU players.
Everyone is welcome to an opinion but when your opinion is simply trying to damage a product I think that goes into the realm of slandering, legally.

  4. pay to win for pve content? lol really its doesnt affect on PVP. If u dont have time maybe ucan buy ur time with some speed ups… its not a fkn p2w cuz u can buy in market currency with in game currency.

  5. Agree that the game is pay to win, but I disagree that this is fine. The free to play plus cash shop model has been a plague to the MMO genre since the early 2000s. The F2P model way too often makes games less convenient for F2P players in order to convince them to pay more than they would on a sub and abuses psychological patterns, especially with randomized rewards. Severity varies, but the model itself is naturally predatory. While it technically can be done without being predatory it's much more often the case than when it isn't.

  6. Sorry bro but you are describing is not a p2w.
If you can achieve everything a p2w player.can in the same game ( with obvious time difference ) then its not a p2w.
Agree to disagree but no you dont pay to be better than another player, you pay to advance faster…the end goal is the same

  7. PvP is only equalise in arena. But nobody cares about that. It's almost it's own minigame.
Guild Vs guild, PvP event in island and open PvP there: non are equalised. And yet thoses are the place where PvP give rewards

  8. Even if it’s just currency you could buy that’s pay to win and pay to enter faster in one swoop. Buy a carry and buy the gear to be qualified enough to be carried. Does that mean you shouldn’t play? Hell no , those people paying keep the barrier to entry for the actual game as FREE. If it takes you longer to reach the same point well congrats you get to enjoy the content longer. Play how you want and also thank the whales for keeping the game running. My number one advice is to find a group of friends to play with and lvl up and enjoy at the same pace with. Way more fun.

  9. Most modern mmos and games in general include pay to win/pay to fast/pay to convenience mechanics these days. It’s just a matter of which of them has the least impact on the gameplay.

  10. If the only thing that could give you an advantage was the crystaline aura, it would be just a free game with an optional subscription that rewards players for supporting the game, but it's a p2w game because of almost everything else that you can buy, specially because you can pay for a lot of things multiple times, and each time you will get an advantage. That doesn't mean that the game isn't fun unless you pay, or that you can't do everything unless you pay, but it's undeniable that it's p2w.

  11. I have already stopped playing and it's been like a week. Leveling was just too slow and didn't incorporate the combat enough. It was far too much dialouge and not enough pushing buttons and making the mobs go boom. Pacing is important and I don't wanna wait 30 hours before I can actually start to go bang bang Unga bunga.

  12. For those who are upset because someone who pays to get ahead of you faster on a pve game?
First of, those players are paying for your free to play game. Would you rather be paying a subscription instead?
I don't understand the idiots who crying over this. How else do you think they can afford to keep this game running if they don't make money. Also it's pay to progress faster. There's really no winning anything here.

  13. Do some reasearch before blabbing nonsense. You are admitting you do not know what anything does yet have an opinion on it. It is simply pay to shortcut. it does not affect other players only you.

  14. Wow became p2w? When did that happen? Unless you mean level boosters then I guess. Warframe you can't buy mastery levels but can buy prime frames and weapons. Lost ark however has items on the stay to help you level your gear to max. Clear pay to win.

  15. well, all games have a way to buy currency in. go on eldorado you can see a list of every game ever made, or any games that are still played, and u can buy currency for them with irl money.. every game ever made is pay 2 win in your eyes then

  16. i think the definition for Pay to Win has changed over the years.

you can progress really fast and practically skip content by swiping card however this does not put you in an advantage against other players it just time skips you into another tier, you dont get permanent stat boost or things that are special to $. this is a feature that allows people with little time to progress as MMO are time sinkers, Lost ark does not restrict progression due to $.

a True P2W game is Maplestory where is literally restricts you from progression because you require 100s of items that can only be obtained via $.

a F2P player as you would call them can reach Ilvl 1000 in about a week or so if he plays everyday.
a P2W player can do it in 1 day, the only advantage you obtain from using $ is time thats it, it might seem very fast but the game is not a Sprint but a Marathon.

some might call it P2W some might call it a time skip feature, this is similar to games that offer you level up passes for $ thats it.

as for things you mention in the store, if you played the game you would know that you can literally exchange them for Gold something you can earn in the damn game.

like you put it is like a Race, but in a race the winner is not exactly the person Sprinting because the finish line might be really far away.

  17. I’ve grinded lost ark since release. I’m T3 1340 Ilvl. Game is pay for convenience and faster progression. Gold is so easy to make in lost ark. Sitting on 25k gold rn. Bought 5000 blue crystals in the exchange earlier today. It’s more about what you know and what you don’t know. Stronghold is one of the most important parts to lost ark, an it’s where I make my money. Plus on top of the events throughout the day. Without saying. I’ve grinded to T3 completely F2P.

  18. Shame they didn't make it a subscription or paid for game. When playing right now you're constantly reminded about the options to cough up real world money. I don't want that in my games. On a silly mobile casual game I can put up with it but not in an MMO I want to lose hundreds of hours to.

  19. Most people won't realise how bad it is yet. They're not looking ahead. They're just enjoying the early game because it is fun. They'll realise how bad it is when they're properly hooked. It's typical abusive free to play game tactics.
