Spent 6 hours yesterday choosing a main…then 6 hours getting to level 25…yeah, it's good. Like, really good. Getting in what I can til the 22nd!
Destiny is terrible.

Hearing about the diablo II and III passion… Has Paul/have you tried Last Epoch?
I'm a huge AARPG fan and have played a number of games in the genre (D3, Grim Dawn/Titan Quest, Path of Exile, Wolcen, & Leage of Legends which of course isn't a AARPG but share similar controls).
My heart was towards Diablo 3, where most other AARPGs have felt too fast, trivializing positioning. I focused on playing Demon Hunter in Diablo 3, and Marksman/ADC in league. These gave me love of needing to "kite" enemies, where the other AARPGs felt like enemies were dying too quickly to have to think about that.
Last Epoch has had the most similar combat pacing to D3, where ranged characters need to consider kiting and positioning.
The skill system is simply inspired as well. You level up a skill and augment it in its own skill tree. There are so many ideas that are brilliant. Last Epoch is my favorite AARPG. I think it's worth anyone's time.

Fun game, great combat, not super grindy so far 20 hours in. A tremendous game overall so far. Agreed that UI is ugly and not friendly. Hope the support and quality of life gets to FF14 level someday!
yes. Grind is fun. Bring it back to the good old days, and ignore the kids that are going to cry about how challenging the raids are later… Don't dumb down humanity.

I bought a founders pack due to your coverage before the Beta. And I really had a lot of fun during the Beta. I'm now level 23 on my gunslinger and once again enjoying myself immensely. Thanks Paul for covering the game.

The game is looking great but they way they publish it is a massive mess.
PvP is all normalized so you can buy whatever you want from the shop with paid currencies. Doesn't affect pvp only pve

Character creation, classes, combat, world are all so great. Really in love with this game. May play this alongside Destiny from now on.

Going to try it out, and if I like it, I'll be farming in it. Hopefully it's not like Destiny's farming and RNG bullshit. lol I just hate that I have to connect to a VPN just to play this, because I don't live in the US right now. >_>
I think the cards are how this game is like other MMOs in getting "Set" armor.
