  1. Nice episode Natalie, beautiful blanket for Toaster! However, I’m so disappointed that you didn’t talk about your exciting move. I appreciate that you shared the news on Instagram, but I thought for sure you would tell us a little bit more about your plans here with your YouTube friends. Maybe on future episodes 🤞❤Thanks for sharing your knitting and experiences with us

  2. The blanket looks so good!!

Your thoughts on project progress is so helpful. I think the same way and did find having multiple socks going was helpful. Different sock for the various other activities!

  3. Two thoughts, firstly how cute would a dress look in the pinks from Toaster's blanket in the zig zag pattern. Secondly seeing the slip stitch sock, I thought it would also be great to have a pair of socks to match Kent's hat & Toasters blanket. Mum, Dad & Toaster 🙂

  4. Love your videos! Also making a Battenberg blanket right now – have found I am using slightly more solid colour than varied colour as in the joining you use more solid colour as you go round again.

  5. I love the way you are planning out your Battenberg blanket! When I made mine I just grabbed the next mini from a bag and went for it! My only rule was don’t put two colours the same together! I really hope you enjoy making yours x

  6. Hi Natalie. You did a great job for Toaster's blanket. I like the new sock design you are knitting too. I hope you enjoyed your day off during the week. We all need a deserved break now and then. I can see my earlier posts that you are traveling when you move. I hope it goes well for you all. take care

  7. #question Hi Natalie. I have found knitting to be a gateway into lots of other crafts and have dabbled in weaving and spinning. Do you ever find yourself tempted to try something new and what, if any, other crafts do you do?

  8. #question I’m not sure if you can discuss this on the podcast, but I have a question about the Fish Lips Kiss heel. In the pattern it says you should knit 1” of plain stockinette either before or after your heel. Do you do thid on sock patterns with an all over patterned leg? Just curious! Thanks for everything you do!

  9. You could sew a satin ribbon or a thin piece of pink fabric to the inside of the strap so that is the foundation and it won’t stretch. Keep it pink and you won’t see it at all.

  10. Google foundation hdc–there are ways to start your crochet projects without using a chain at all! 🙂 Also I've finally caved and am halfway through my first Musselburgh hat. Thought it was over-hyped but it's so not, this thing is amazing

  12. I am 71 years old. Knitted since age 7. I have every knitting needle and crochet hooks Chiaogoo makes and have used all of them . I would never part with any especially at your age unless I was upgrading. I don’t have other brands but I do have duplicates as I use the 2 circular method frequently. I make everything- hats, blankets, adult and baby stuff , mittens, toys, your yarn holders tote floats, scarves, shawls and you name it I have knit or crocheted it. My stash is big but not hoarder sized. I teach and give away what I can’t use yarn wise. I usually have 4-8 projects going at once. Most are original designs ( I sell some) and some are others patterns but they are rare. I do go to the beach or a park to inspire me . I sit out on my patio and enjoy my miniature horse 🐎 while I knit. I have learned to really love my passion. I also facilitate 3cancer groups one local one, 2 on Facebook. I have stage 4 breast cancer but I really maximize my loves. Never lose sight of your real goals girl. Life is too important to do things for other people’s benefits. Be true to you!

  13. Toaster's blanket is just beautiful! I love all your Sock Week sock progress. I plan to work up my first sock before Sock Week. I ordered the Jellyfish Jubilee sock set. I also can't wait to follow your progress on the Battenburg Blanket. I love A Homespun House yarn. Thanks for a great episode! ❤

I hope I will be able to get one someday if she makes them again so I can make Pokémon socks ❤

  15. I thoroughly enjoy your videos and get the aesthetic of “new project goes in a special bag”😂
My honey just rolls his eyes when I make a new knitting pouch or bag for a project….and you know it has to go with the season, too!!!!
You are my weekend knitting with coffee routine; thank you for such delightful and inspiring content❤

  16. #Question – Ok, so my stubborn self has finally managed to learn how to knit (after 9 years and thanks in large part to your amazing tutorials!) and I was just browsing through needle sets online to get a feel for what's out there and GOSH it is so confusing! I see sets with what appear to be standard length needles (5" or so?) and then "shortie" sets with needles that are maybe 3.5 or 4" long. Beyond the obvious, what's the difference? Does it have to do with hand size or comfort for the knitter, or does it have more to do with the projects you plan to work on? I have fairly small hands and joint issues, so I tend to lean on the shorter side for crochet hooks. Would shorter needles be better for me or no? Thanks so much!

  17. #question As I am working on the ribbing of a sleeve while enjoying the podcast, I was wondering whether you – as a fellow English style knitter – may have some tips to make it less tedious, more enjoyable and maybe even a bit faster. I tried continental knitting, but that seems not to be doing it for me. Thanks for providing me with such a nice and informative company while crafting!

  18. I'm obsessed with Succession but it is a dark comedy/tragedy with some pretty serious social & family issues dealt with so it might not meet your desire for something "light." But it is super super good and often quite hilarious.

  19. #Question I bought the N Mendze yarn and I want to make a longer sock like the slip stitch sock but I didn’t think there was enough yardage in the skein. Please continue with your updates on this sock so i can start by sock week. Thanks
