Lost Ark Review

Lost Ark reviewed by Gabriel Moss on PC.

Lost Ark takes a genuinely impressive stab at the isometric action RPG genre, and its integration into a perpetually online world is complementary rather than invasive. It’s expansive and deep, capable of scratching the itch for a new Diablo-like action RPG that is filled with other players to meet and team up with. The excellent and flexible combat system channels the best of its ARPG forebears, but it can start to wear out after you’ve slaughtered your way through enough lower-tier enemies. Lost Ark’s most prominent fault, though, is that its generic story can be cheesy due to awkward writing and voice work. However, there are a lot of interesting locations to discover as you sail your ship around the open seas, and at the end of the day, this is a world that’s certainly worth the time to explore, even if you never pay a cent for its optional premium boosts.

  1. Another favorite is the striker? The least played lowest dps fighter… lol

All these comments from people saying to save potions and grenades must've just hit 50 and didn't play Karc. They are not scarce or hard to come by. Stop correcting advice if you don't have the experience in game to give advice.

  2. I'm a few hours in so far it's definitely been a generic story, and the quests…talk to this person, go kill that, go talk to another person, go kill some other enemies…as you go from one linear area to the next. The lack of community is also disappointing. Entering a dungeon, folks hardly ever talk. Join a guild, pure silence.

  3. Are you serious? A review when clearly didn't even SHOW End Game Content? You call this a review?

Guys, if the game is already an 8/10 without End Game Content, imagine with it! Masterpiece!! 😂

  4. its a great game if you have a LOT of time to spend playing it. It's VERY grindy. To be "competitive" in the endgame you need a lot of alts so you can farm your dailies efficiently, and each character will require you to waste 30mins-1h.
If you have a job, workout, enjoy watching tv/movies, playing other games, hangout with family/friends/SO, have any other hobbies.. You'll probably wont enjoy this very much.

  5. Games an MMORPG first and foremost. The camera angle is isometric and the play style is ARPG, but at the end of the day it is an MMORPG. Which makes it weird to not mention any endgame content at all for an mmorpg review.

  6. Jesus what kind of review is this? Lost Ark is an MMO. You did not even show an ounce of the endgame. Where was the chaos dungeons, raids, abyss dungeons.

Instead of rushing to push out reviews, try to actually play the game! The game mostly revolves around lvl 50 content. What a failure of a review.

  7. Dude spends half of the time complaining bout the game but still gives a 8.

“Why cant you make a female paladin ?” Well maybe cuz developers decided so ? Just like they decided not to put cars in the game. Review it for what it is not for what it is not.
