As someone who gets rekt by FiveseveNs and whatnot while using this gun I'm not a big fan. It's definitely better than it used to be, but damn is it expensive and clunky.
jdog sexy builds are the reason i got back to tarkov. The taste for guns is insane
The evil laughter after the grenade throw was the highlight lol sooooo good
lol SVDS is ass, so much recoil. The alternatives like the RFB make the SVDS a waste of money, unless you are doing it for Punisher Part 6.
Svd is best dmr, change my mind

SVD is the best DMR. The value of being able to use SNB early is insanely good, really doesn’t matter what gear the opponent is running at that point.
The weakness of SR-25 is the round. Until you can consistently run M61, I think the SVD is just superior.
It’s just too damn loud. Even suppressed you can hear it cross map
Honestly, I just use PS ammo on Reserve because they're so many goddamn player scavs. I can just one-shot most of them.
It needs a slight price reduction from prapor. Still had a blast doing punisher part 6 with it. It was super easy cause I enjoy every dmr except RFB
Svd is a work horse, it doesn't need any fancy attachments. Put pso and two tap thorax or one tap head. Treat it as like you are playing with mosin. Make every shot count. You will be surprised with 100k chad killer
As soon as I got the Flea Market I built exactly that build and I love it
Edit: really like the SVD because the ammo is SO good AND cheap for what it delivers. plus it's really accurate at long ranges, which is something I can't say about my favorite weapon, SR-25 (unless you get Peacekeeper 3 and can buy the longer barrel, but that is just a pain to get)
Will you ever upload in 1440p? I love your content but 1080 is so low res on tarkov vids. Keep it up man.
Gun is way better now imo + its cheap
After punisher part 6 I don't even want to look at this gun
The 762x54R is a crazy ammo, but even with the max built SVD is hard af to use
I use stock SVD as a semi-auto Mosin. If you dont spam shots – thing is incredible. PS ammo makes it one tap most of the time. Great value for the money.

I finished punisher 6 a few days ago, and now setup+silent caliber is kicking my ass. Finding it really tough to shotgun people, even with flechette.
my only problem with svd is that those 20 round mags cost too much
Had the exact same experience with Punisher Pt. 6. Kept getting clapped on Shoreline, then switched to Woods and a less aggressive playstyle and it went very smoothly.

I'm waiting for them to release an OG Dragunov, using the SVDS default with a pso makes the gun feel like it's intended to be in tarkov, hard hitting and reliable.
I did punisher 6 with the beat up scav rifle, all 60 or lower, not one malfunction and never noticed any problems with accuracy.
Love the SVD, its kinda expencive this wipe, to buy upfront, but it can make up for it in ammo prices (SNB is about half the price of M61 and PS is about 370ish roubles cheaper than M62) but if your a bushwookie or a mountain goat that loves to sit back and shoot from a distance, give this gun a shot.
My svd build is pso1 and hybrid silencer it has -9000 ergo and I love it.
It feels like a real gun if you run it loud. I can't do it with the suppressor. Too long and clunky.

If you learn to pace your shots right, this gun can be a monster at close range and from afar. Easily my favourite gun this wipe

I don't know, just not my gun… I adore it on Factory but since that isn't an option for Punisher Part 6 anymore, I just never see the reason not to use a AR-10 platform. And my playstyle is also slow so I'm not constantly on that high octane gameplay xD. And yes, the SVD shoots a beefier round but yet again I've had a more pleasant and effective experience shooting .308 at people rather than 54R for some reason. I would absolutely love if they would add the wooden old school attachments for that classic Dragunov look though :). If they made the gun somehow cheaper, like 60-70k max on Prapor it would probably see much more use and be more viable. And yet again there would be a balance of people using AR-10 platforms and the SVD platform(ouh and a cool addition to the game would be a SVU 🙂 )

Does the bug still exist that the angled sight essentially ignores ergonomics for its ADS speed? I know some people hate the lack of FOV with the gun blocking your lower left corner of the screen, but given the ergo, could be a valuable option?
