Severe heatwaves continue to sweep across Asia, as the region braces for the return of the weather phenomenon known as El Nino this year. Experts have warned of warmer weather with even less rainfall in the months ahead, while Malaysian and Singapore have warned of worsening haze this year. Dr Mohd Shahrul Mohd Nadzir, senior lecturer for atmospheric science at the National University of Malaysia, shared more about the prolonged dry season and increased haze risk.
