Variant tanks going is fine, there are way too many on FW, but the dreadnoughts I'm annoyed about.
“Big Astartes super friends” I wanna join that group ❤
Everyone is complaining about the Hounds of Morkai, but I actually find them quite interesting and useful now, they kind of do a bit of everything. They are obviously especially good against psykers, but even if you play against an army with no psykers, they are quite reliable. Scouts to start closer to your objectives, pistols and 4 attacks per mini with devastating wounds + precision to soften up enemy heroes so your character can kill them after. The battle-shock howl is just great always and synergizes well with your saga of majesty to steal an objective. And the smokescreen keyword to give them stealth and cover. They went from being useful in just a very specific scenario on 9th edition to being, in my opinion, a good option in every scenario.
I wonder if that Gabriel Seth wording means no more Sanguinor or Astorath in the Flesh Tearers.
The SW rule looks very strong. Saga of Majesty when triggered is basically a massively improved version of the Dark Angels rule, but you could also potentially have three other massive boosts alongside it as well! If you do pull off all four you get army wide +1 OC, Sustained hits (1) for melee, 6+ FNP and Lethal Hits for melee weapons. That's a steamroller combo for sure.
As a new guy i would have liked to include seth to my primaris flesh tearers units sad😢😢😢
Not a 40K player but for the Death Company Intercessors if Fire Overwatch is used do the shots count as attacks? If so they would get full re-rolls from Black Rage so with 20 shots would get 5-6 hits.
I dunno if it is true but I recall someone saying that when a Character joins a Unit they give it the Character Keyword? Makes one Saga or two easier if that is right
as a space wolves player I just feel scammed
The idea that the other founding chapters don’t get seperate rules because they’re codex complaint is such a cop-out. It’s pushing the limit to say Salamanders are codex complaint
Deathwatch need a quick point drop. Lost their special ammo ( so far) lost their special weapons, and lost their game length doctrines. Feels like a struggling faction managed to beat a gw player at a con at the end of 9th and is mad about it.
Blood angels being relegated to just being loyalist world eaters is a huge waste
Good to see Templars gaining some strength back. Though competitively Blood Angels seem really dangerous if recent tournaments are anything to go by
Isn't the Gladius Strike Force a Detachment rule meaning it would have to be replaced by one of the 5 Detachment rules of these chapters?
I'm still just trying to process this. How good are Death Watch rocket launchers going to be? Variable profile, that you can vary against the army style you're facing. A big decision at the start of the game, and then one every turn. And you can chuck in heaps of extra proper anti-tank and rerolls as a SM army as well.
Ummm, still maths-hammering that one. If they're cheap points-wise, wow….
So deathwatch gets mission tactics that are army wide and don’t require a stupid leadership test and taking wounds to get lol CSM gets the shaft. Granted it’s once per battle but getting lethal hits, sustained hits, and precision on critical hits army wide is fucking really good especially with path of moment
This was a disappointing implementation by GW. Seems lazy. This is how the other chapters should be done. (I.e. salamanders and iron fist.) Disappointing for the divergent chapters.
So I wont be playing Raven Guard in 10th any time soon I guess. Shame…
goodbye cyclone launcher assault terminators you will be missed
I think one of the most annoying things about the Space Wolves sagas will be if you fulfil 2+ sagas worth of deeds in a round and have to choose one. Otherwise, I am looking forward to seeing how good it ends up being.
Gotta say, as a Black Templars player, loosing the army wide 5+ Invuln hurts a lot
Seeing the Storm Shields being labeled as "Astartes Shields" has me curious if Combat Shields will be consolidated into the same wargear.
Boring just include everyhing they have into space marines and stop this color code non sense. Let players roleplay their chapters as they see fit.
When Lion'El Johnson is tougher and moee resilient than Mortarion.
As predicted , kind of dogshit
space wolve one seems not just situational (as you say) but janky too (IMHO). I'd prefer if characters performing these heroic actions instead gave your army a number of rerolled dice per heroic action that you can expend throughout your army (sort of like the old sisters miracle dice). that would seem like a better way to express the moral boosting impact of heroic action undertaken by a chapter who worships heroic saga.
Dark Angels bei Like:"Brothers you may Hit harder then ist, but when we fit bitten by you we lose a little bit less"
Seems like a BA and BT W for sure. Wolves sagas seem a bit to specific to get off sadly. Bear is easy enough if your smacking yourself with hazardous tests but thats a bit gamey and I don't think players should be fantasizing about how to hurt their own cool characters.
I love how I watch this stuff having not even played my first game of Warhammer, the information going in one ear and out the other, while a paint up some minis to potentially play with these rules that I’ll have totally remembered. 10/10
Damn, they really had to neuter the Deathwatch’s special ammo?
Didn’t those players suffer enough last edition with half of their strats being borderline useless and having no real way to run anything beyond the DW specific models effectively
So GW said SM color doesn't matter in 10th, and now they make DA busted again? sigh Well, I guess we're all DA players now.
Omitting Salamanders seems passively racist of GW. Not going to go over well in the USA.
Deathwatch veteran shotguns are probably the long range vigil weapon right? Not just boltgun?
Does anybody know if they're our Detachment rules or specifics for the Raven guard, iron hands, or white scars in the new edition because those are the only chapters that I haven't heard anything about
