Mr Handies arent meant to be outside through decades of weather. Its really weird where does he get fuel? My personal belief is the Institute reprogrammed him and use him as a spy. He would give them great info on what that last day was like, distorted a bit by 200+ years – to be put in your skull. Might explain his very atypical obsession with your family. His programming dont fit in with any robot from before or after the war.
If you talk to Codsworth – the only person to 'know' you before the bombs he has two lines saying your not the person who went into the vault.
Why can't we make him human like Curie??
I spent most of my play-through with Codsworth and maximized his relation. Then I eventually switched him out for Nick Valentine and had him ship supplies between the town settlement and an empty gas station settlement I walled off where I keep any new power armor I find(I just don’t trust Trashcan Carla or any other humanoid characters after what happened with my first set during a raider attack).
Never gave much thought to Codsworth–his florid accent was too off putting for my taste
And this is why we leave Codsworth at home 😂
