Deadman resurrects for no reason and turns into a zombie hero to punish evil and promote good.

In The Revenant (2009), Special Forces soldier Bart Gregory is left for dead after being shot several times in Iraq. Miraculously, he wakes up in a body bag and manages to make it back to his hometown in Los Angeles. His best friend, Joey, helps him recover but quickly realizes that something is off about Bart. He has become a “revenant,” a supernatural being who can regenerate and cannot die. Joey convinces Bart to use his new powers for good and they embark on a vigilante mission to clean up the streets of Los Angeles. Along the way, they encounter a host of colorful characters, including a group of gang members, corrupt cops, and a beautiful but dangerous stripper. As Bart grapples with his newfound abilities and sense of purpose, he must also confront the darker side of his power and decide whether he can truly be a hero.
