Making Base Changes YOU Suggested!- OCCUPY MARS Ep.16

You have all had a lot of information to imptrove the base so today I make some of those changes. THANKS!
Survive and colonize Mars in a highly technical, open-world sandbox game. Build and upgrade your base, discover new regions, conduct mining operations, retrieve water, generate oxygen, grow crops, and fix broken parts.

  1. Hey Bud, On the scrubber, turn it off, then there are 4 things to mess with, ignore the 3 in the middle and turn the one on the left twice, then look at the screen, if the temp is red(which it will be, turn one of the handles, then look at the screen again and it should all be white, you can leave it there, or you can get it to where it uses 9.4 power and gives you 13l of O2 per hour, thats the best ive gotten. but it is power hungry. i found that having it at around 7 power is the best compromise. as your not really in the base apart from at night.

You want the battery to go directly into the base, and have a battery for each connection into the base. then use cable from the main transformer to all the batteries.

  2. 12:42 I think you've got power (kW) and energy (kWh) mixed up there – power is what electricity is flowing at the moment, measured in kW. The battery stores power as energy, measured in kWh. That battery setup has an energy capacity of 1912.5 kWh. Your solar panels are providing 438 kW of power, and will charge that battery to full in 1912.5 kWh / 438 kW = 4.4 hours (if there's no load from the base using some of the solar power). The power out setting determines the max power output from the battery. If you set the power out to, for example, 200 kW then if the battery is full it will be discharged to empty in 1912.5 kWh / 200 kW power out = 9.6 hours (if no solar is coming in). The actual power draw from the battery by the building should be less than the max power out.

  3. You can plug the oxygen line directly into your base, the same one you plug into your vehicle, and that’ll raise your oxygen. You can upgrade your water pumps to the reactor version and add an extension tank for water where water comes out plus a tank for oxygen on each water pump. You don’t need methane until you get the jet pack or the rocket atv. If each building has its own oxygen input it’ll raise the level of oxygen in your base.

  4. I think there was a blue print/tablet you couldn't get to in one of the large bases damaged capsules until you had the level three saw. So be careful what you scrap.

  5. Yeeees, nice the battery packs, i would have started with just one but no problem, NOW they're nice! Now on to the panels rework, they're hodge-podge too, give them nice new built (and rewire, you will get about 1km of wire out of it 🙂

  6. Near 35:00 , I'm thinking the grooves in the floor are for the big weird purple light growing things for the plants.
In the tutorial when you walk into the botany section it's on your right hand side the things that look like corn.
Also I really don't know I originally thought it was for composting but the third time you asked what the heck are these things for I remembered the tutorial and botany section. Maybe maybe not I don't know it could be that something for tall plants

  7. I wouldn’t worry about whether or not you get more scores and plates if you dismantle the boxes, then the full base. You will very soon have so many resources that you can’t store it all!

  8. Am curious about the antenna. What does it do? I have seen that there is like a fog of war as you move around, maybe if you have antennas it wont do that anymore.

  9. i scrapped a lot of bases, i have 3 1689 batteries, each battery is powered by a transformer with 12 large solar panels. i have the battery pack set to output set to 50% of input. so battery can charge every day.

  10. @6:30 just ctrl click the cable while both are still plugged in and you'll pick up the wire
maximizing the battery add-on also helps decrease the use of circuit board especially early game
@20:28 hehehe he wonders why when its looking at him in plain text
@25:40 you can be outside 24 hrs
@32:23 thats the field floor planter that needs soil to use by composting silicon, i guess you forgot what the greenhouse looks like from the campaign tutorial
@34:28 the back of the composter
@43:55 you can everything attached to the building except the loot unless they were inside lockers which you have to be careful sometimes the items will fall to the ground or they will remain floating

  11. In your Greenhouse the troughs are for either wheat or corn, and the box thing on the outside of the Greenhouse is for the Composter. You will also see 3 consoles, one is for the Incubators, one is for the grow tables, and the other is for the plant troughs. I believe, but am not 100 percent sure, that you can put all of your Botany machines in there as well. Have a Great one!!!
