I’d have to play them first but if they checked out I’d buy the carvins. Probably could sell one of them to get a bigger discount on the one I’d keep.
STOP! JUST. STOP!
(Doubt I need to indicate at which point of the podcast I wrote this.)
Slow dancing in a burning room
I watched a debunking video of someone opening up a fancy furman “power conditioner” and it had nothing but cheap basic power parts you’d find in a regular power supply. The models may vary, however. Noisey audio issues plagued me for years. I’ve bought a good variety of filters, conditioners, ground loop isolators and nothing worked. I think I needed an experienced electrician.
Try Why Georgia – John Mayer ?
I grew up loving JM’s room for squares and continuum. All the songs are great to me. And though I’m not as big of a fan of all his other albums I enjoy them all and don’t think he has a bad song. If the mix isn’t to your liking focus on the arrangements.
How dare he use 3 pedal boards
John Mayer’s Trio album (Try!) is great. I love the songs “who did you think I was” “Try!” and “another kind of green.”
I knew I recognised that abhorrent abalone abomination. Saw it on marketplace about a week ago. It's kinda odd seeing a listing here that's nearby me lol.
Why Netflix and Chill when you could… Um… YouTube and Shill 😄
Love the Guitar on "Edge of the Desire" ❤ John is full of soul specially played Live
I use the Furman Power Station 8 series multi-stage protection linear AC power conditioner. Never an issue
I'd rather simultaneously listen to nails on a chalkboard, a dentist drill and Dave Matthews Band greatest hits then listen to John Mayer. Well, maybe not Dave Matthews Band greatest Hits but nails on a chalkboard and dentist drill for sure.
If you and Steve did like a record club on the patreon I'd sign up tbh and if you do that raise the 1$ tier to a 2$ tier
Want a scooby doo type thing where Ryan, Steve and a great dane track down the vertex Phantom Power condenser. They unmask it at the end and its a dynamic mic from shure. Wooooooo
I love Mayer live but don't listen to any album stuff. My favorite thing he's ever done is Ain't no sunshine, live with the trio.
Did you know that John Mayer uses three pedalboards for his Solo tour?
Honestly, i didn't get back into John mayer until The Search For Everything album, which when I dove deeper lead me to Born And Raised, which my favorite song on that is Walt Grace.
I like John Mayer. I think he's a great player and songwriter. I wasn't too big on the "Your Body Is A Wonderland" stuff. I do find it weird how obsessed some folks are with his gear… Week to week or month to month updates on his gear… That's a bit much IMO.
Yo can I get that bezos distortion for my afford a board I bought one for 20$ and sold it but need another one for my Amazon board.
We need an H-U-um shirt
Of course I know John Mayer is an incredible guitarist, but why can’t I get into his music? I’ve certainly tried. Maybe it’s because I received the “Heavier Things” CD several years ago for Christmas while I had the flu. While I laid shivering in bed with a 103 fever, the CD was on repeat on my CD player/alarm clock. Now when I hear something like “Bigger Than My Body”, I want to PUKE.
I think "Born and Raised" is his best album. It's probably his least guitar-centric album, but the songs really resonated with me.
John Mayer is using 3 separate pedalboards on his solo tour
JM – Continuum is a “play all the way through” album for me. Born & Raised is really good too. Walt Grace is great!
This is easily my favorite guitar related podcasts I follow. The jokes and the highlighted weird guitars are great.
Steve is spot on about the production JM quality. It's too shiny.
