“[REC]²” is a Spanish horror film directed by Jaume Balagueró and released in 2009. The story picks up immediately after the first film, where an armed group enters the abandoned apartment complex within the infected area, tasked with finding the source of the virus and destroying it. Once in the complex, they are immediately attacked by infected individuals. As the situation deteriorates, the group begins to believe that they may not survive, and that the virus is far more lethal than they imagined. Through their trials and battles, they discover the involvement of a mysterious organization and military experiments, and must uncover the truth and prevent the virus from spreading further.
