  1. I mean, you're joking about His Immenseness wrestling Monsters but I remember reading somewhere that he did just that to a Lao Shan Lung… This absolute UNIT of a man wrestles Lao Shan Lung for *fun*.

  2. It really annoys me that this Deviljho doesn't get an intro cutscene.

Like, fucking Congalala gets 2 cutscenes, but Deviljho is straight-up one of, if not even the only unique monster in the entire game to just not get one, even though it's like a key quest and he's super iconic and all that jazz.

  3. 1:11 other prehistoric animals did that too; like Plesiosaurs, Sauropods and Deinocheirus.

3:25 Demolisher, not "Destroyer". it's like calling the Dragonator the "Dragonslayer". (i remember that bad takes video)
come now Josh, even you know what the thing's called.

4:26 you connected the dots just now? i thought Josh already told you of the Demolisher's debut in 4 Ultimate.

16:3516:42 i honestly wouldn't mind that. i genuinely want to know how voice acting handles that kind of zaniness; every last sentence, down to the same one you hear from the same NPC that you accidentally talk to when you were headed to the shop right next to them.
    i genuinely would want that.

chuckles Frenzied Joe? as the veterans who made it all the way to the end will tell you… he'll get worse.

  4. MH4U Frenzied Deviljho was literally my first Deviljho encounter. No iconic surprises here, it was a straightforward hunt against a new monster. Also, gotta love that Frenzied Brachydios's slime puddles explode with random timings (slow/normal/fast).

  5. I wanna see that immense guy slap too. I'll even give him a entro:
The Dragonator jams and out jumps an immensely large figure. An immediate camera focus on the pimp slap followed by a upward pan to that forehead in all it's polished glory.

  6. I could be wrong (and probably am) but it looks like His Immenseness is wearing a helmet, with those little flaps that cover the ears. It would explain his head appearing to be so oddly shaped.

  7. Interesting tidbit now that His Immenseness has been shown, there is actually a way to get unknowing players to admit they haven't finished the story without directly asking them.

All you have to do is ask what the weather in the G-rank gathering hall is like.
If you haven't beaten the Rusted Kushala, then it will be stormy as seen in the video.

This can be relevant, as the solo story is important for unlocking certain necessary things for apex hunts, and if you haven't finished it then you likely haven't gone out of your way to do other supporting solo quests like completing the Wyceum to unlock the Drive wystone, get level 2 wystones, and get access to using a second wystone. Usually you can just ask the player directly if they have something important like this, and if they don't you let them know they need to get it and how, but some players are stubborn.

  8. I would have love to hear Bracadeos after hearing Josh "accidentally" used a Tigrex mating call and not a normal call. The betrayal, our poor big punchy man.

  9. I guess I'm in the same boat as Cotton when it comes to playing the older MH games, Iceborne and Sunbreak changed the movement, and by extension combat, of Hunters so much (for the better imo) that going back to experience what most people class as the best MH game, its like having to learn a whole new game, kudos to the players who mastered the older games, but its not to my taste at all, I might actually revisit 3U and 4U if they ever got ported to the Switch like GU, cause GU is my favorite old school MH game, but until then, I'll stick to the more fun games

  10. While all of Brachydios' intro cutscenes have been in volcanic regions (W.Iceborne low-key), it is actually fairly normal for Brachy to show up in cold areas, in fact, ever since 3U, his debut game
