  1. In case nobody mentions it, well clicking on the panel with the electricity in the beginning of the video. I don't have a timer for because the big screens being dumb.

Inside of the panel with the electricity though if you were to click with the numbers are you can manually type in what you want instead of sitting there needing to click. I don't mind the clicking but if one is worried about the time it takes the click I find this might help for information sake.

Merely screw your mouth over the numbers give a single click it should bring up a panel with nothing in it I believe you type in what you want

  2. Wouldn't it be better to change your solar panels to large ones? The power produced (according to wiki) in perfect conditions will be 5 v 30, yet it's only around 3 times as expensive, I currently am generating about 600 from mine.

Also, I found that you can split water etc, by adding a pump station, go into the control panel of the pump station and that will change to a different colour, this you can make them any colour (I only found out by messing around) however you can also attach a blue hose to a red input and it changes the colour automatically.

I'm using this to feed 3 inputs to one output also (so I can provide more into a single pipe) – also if you grind a whole base (ensure you have cleared the top floor prior else I find things just end up floating in the air)

  3. @5:50 truck O2 tank is bigger and if you havent noticed it uses both hands to carry and once you put in your bag the item icon is different that it tilts to the right while the suit canister tilts to the left
@19:40 incubator can only grow up to 50% which you then need to transfer to the hydroponics for stage 2

  4. You can see what type of XP you are receiving, at the top of your screen near the temperature display. You'll notice that you're constantly getting the Yellow Electrical XP indicator, because of your constant energy production. Look at 49:25 you can see when using the grinder you got the Purple Material XP indicator. While at 53:20, you can see that you were getting the Orange Mechanical XP indicator, while using the jackhammer. From what I can tell, it appears that you accrue XP while "performing tasks" that are classified under their respective categories.

  5. About that splitting… you allready have you both combining and splitting devices for electricity (just connect them better). For water, you need NO splitting so far, you have only your building connected (for hydroponics) and ocassionally you refill yourself (for that, second well is perfect, besides it gives you redundancy – and you allready have it). If you want, you can have wells battery powered, but their tank is big enough, you normally don't need that (maybe once per day swap hose between those two wells). For oxygen, normally is enough if you have CO2 scrubber inside your building, it fills the building with breathable atmosphere (for you and your plants) and also it lets you refill oxygen and CO2 bottles. I don't know about filling your vehicle, but if you keep your helmet on it doesn't matter…

  6. If you unplug the water hos from your water pump, you can add a water tank in that spot, then put the hose back on the water tank and connect it to your building.

  7. Hopefully this helps xox

How to get more experience in mechanics?

On Mars you have plenty of opportunities to gain experience in the field that interests you. In the case of mechanics you score points when you operate heavy machinery, especially: build using the rover's robotic arm, split rocks using Jackhammer, check their composition with the spectral detector, charge vehicles or unload rocks into the crusher. To maintain order in the workplace, we strongly recommend building and using the mechanics research table at later stages of development

  8. On the top middle of your screen, it shows each time you get a point for what category when doing things. Watch that and you will see what you are doing vs how many points you are getting for example grinding. FYI, I think you need to mine rocks for points in mechanics
