Great video, great selection! Loved Brian Boru, but – like you mentioned – the 3-player-minimum requirement was a detriment for me as well. One option for two players, that I thought was also fairly innovative at the time of release, is Fox in the Forest, a fun trick-taking game, in which some cards also have special powers; in addition, the Duet version of the game adds a small board, and becomes a cooperative game (for couples who don't particularly like direct confrontation).

Really enjoy Gloom. I started pandemic legacy season 1 last year somehow haven't made it back to it. It's funny because we really do love pandemic

I forgot about Gloom. It came out 11 years before Mystic Vale. I'm surprised there weren't other games using card building in all that time, and it took Sir John D. Clair to bring it back in multiple games. I love card building, we need it in more games.

Sorcerer's City is a lot of fun! I think it flew under the radar because it's a real-time game and a lot of folks don't like the pressure. I was terrible at the game and thoroughly enjoyed it!
