I don’t know as a fan of the first game this is exactly what I wanted out of the dead island sequel
Oil all over LA for some reason. Imagine that.
love ya yatz
first game was better, had way more features. Dead island 2 has zero dynamicsness and so many missed opportunities
Yahtzee are you gonna review pizza tower or what you handsome man? Also from WI heard you were here recently 👌
Yeah but Days Gone was actually really good imo. Cait wait for the seq- oh wait, never mind
2:10 Has Yahtzee not seen Escape from L.A. ?
It's cool that they finally released it, but they released it so far outside the window of people actually caring about zombie games. I enjoyed the first one a lot, but if I pick this game up at all, it'll be a GOTY bargain bin edition a year+ from now. At least the game seems relatively competent, albeit it looks kinda repetitive.
Honestly I think I would give food to a dog who was willing to tank damage for it. I don't have anyone wishing to damage me right now, but you never know when the need will suddenly arise.
I think Yahtzee should check out Shadows of Doubt, when it gets a full release.. Early access is still fun though
I need Twats and a Zombie to be a Broadway musical so bad.😆
a faux Ninja… that still wears glasses.
I genuinely thought this was a retro review, cuz I watched and enjoyed the trailer and never paid attention to it after so I assumed it'd been out for years
Days Gone was a lying sack of putrefying entrails. Every demo was showcasing these running horde battles that turned out to be mostly avoidable, which is good because there just isn't enough ammo to wipe those zombies out. That horde mechanic was how other games should have handled the same: run and gun to keep things interesting! Instead games went the HIDE AND WAIT SHHHH style of encounter. Or set up random traps and hope they go off somewhere in the horde's vicinity.
Dead Island 2 has a craft system to make encounters interesting, but the long bake time for this title just gives you kind of a "blah" feeling toward the whole thing. You can't hype something for that long and expect people to still care at launch.
Not gonna lie I thought this game came out years back
My favourite moments of zp is when you can hear him literally running out of breathe, forcing out the last syllables of a sentence.
To be fair, ambient fossil fuels are sorta LA's thing. The entire city sits on top of a massive petroleum reservoir.
Yahtzee, never missing a chance to dunk on Days Gone. To be fair, I never played it and based on description, I might have plucked all the hair off my body top to bottom in frustration if I had to deal with an annoying pissant of a main character.
I genuinely hadn't realized this hadn't come out yet, for some reason I thought he'd already done this one and it was time for the third installment.
Judging by the ending, I'd say Yahtzee liked Dredge more than he conveyed in his review.
Last of Us is more like zombies and Oscar bait.
I dont get why u review games, u obviously dont like anything.
I really thought the game came out 6 years ago or something, and it was so bland everyone forgot about it like I did. Turns out I forgot about it since it didn't exist.

Can't believe I forked over 70 for this game.
You're telling me zombies + LA wasn't a good enough concept to carry a whole game? Crazy.
The pathetic thing about TLoU is that it couldn’t even bother having its zombies be a focal point of the story. They’re just kind of around now and then as a catalyst for everyone in the series to be total shitheads.
