For more than two years, the NHS COVID app dictated the lives of those living in the UK, telling people how close they could get to their loved ones.
However, an upgrade to the app will take place from 10.30am on Thursday, telling users that the app is no longer in use, which is expected to take several hours to reach all mobile devices with the app.
