The spacecraft “#Starship” is being launched-tested by the private space company #SpaceX in the United States. With a round-the-world test flight of its massive ship, the company has taken its most daring step yet. It’s equipped with the largest rocket ever built, and it’s on a mission to ferry people to the Moon and Mars. The Starship’s maiden flight was postponed on Monday due to safety concerns. Other new missions in the works include NASA collaborating with Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin to launch the New Glenn rocket to Mars in 2024. Build an Orbital Assembly Space Platform with the help of the Tiangong Space Station and cargo rockets transporting materials and ai robots to assemble Space Ships or Giant Space Colonies in space to explore the Solar System. This is the safest cheapest and best option. And possible with current technology and rapidly acheivable in a few years.
This is my opinion. After a colony is established on Mars, .Phobos may be used as a hollowed out Space Station if it is possible to mine the near asteroids with ai robotic mining and cargo transports or outer planet exploration. Factories on Mars would process the raw materials. This will be not acheived in our life spans, possibly in 50 to 100 years.
Better idea is 3D Print A Mars Rocket in Space and fit a nuclear drive. SpaceX and SLS are dinosaurs type technology and very dangerous for manned flights. Dont know why they cannot make a hybrid engine space plane for both space and atmospheric travel. If ground based rockets must be used Hypersonic Engines might be safer
With the polution that Elon Fusk's fancy billionaire entertainment does, i think that Earth becoming like Mars itself the next hundred years, is much more realistic than trip to Mars.
