I too had a love for all time. For 38 years I was married to the most beautiful man that I ever knew. Although he was outwardly beautiful, it was his inner self that held my heart captive for all these years. We experienced many problems through our years of marriage, economic and health, but during it all, we knew our love was so strong it bound us together.
We were like two alpha wolves, meeting and knowing from that first moment that our mate claim was for life. The first time he saw me, he knew he would marry me. My own claim came shortly after.
He suffered an injury that caused him to have 2 major surgeries and continual pain but he never complained. I too had some serious health issues but somehow we always managed and our love grew stronger every day. I can look back on these years and I honestly can’t remember a day where I wasn’t happy.
Two weeks after our 37th wedding anniversary (we were together about 1-1/2 years before we formally married but we really were mated from our first date) my love who had begun to show signs of dementia became sick. At the hospital they admitted him with pneumonia and started antibiotics IV. The next day an impersonal doctor told me he had end stage Parkinson’s disease and had only a few days to live. He came home on hospice. I had him for 6 days before he quietly slipped away when I left the room for 5 minutes. I came back, looked and saw that he was gone. My love, my life, my alpha wolf was finally free from pain.
I had always known he was special. He put others first, gave unstinting of himself to everyone. When he died, the people at the grocery store, the checkers, our pharmacist, they were crying. They told me what he meant to them, how he gave his time, his attention, his love to them. I’d always known he was special but I knew then that God had given me the incredible experience of living and loving an angel.
I’m alone now and I’m pretty sure I always will be. But I have my memories and I know we’ll be together again. I just wish I knew if the tears would ever stop.
True love has a way of coming through many obstacles (time, space, and people).
It also teachs us let the guy love u us a lady
A beautiful story, narrated by a wonderful voice! True love will always last forever! Rose is a prime example of this! ❤
