The deadly three pronged surprise German attack that started Operation Barbarossa in June 1941 was executed perfectly. A huge chunk of the dated Soviet air force was destroyed before it could get off the ground. This gave Germany huge air superiority in the early days of the campaign which would almost prove fatal for Russia.

Germany was superior in every way if they weren't outnumbered they would have won
Stalin kill many of his best officers and generals just before the start of the war.
The Allies should have stayed out of the war between Germany and Russia. By helping Stalin the Allies sealed the fate of the entire world for years and years to come, to war and ruin.
It wasn't the numbers that beat them. It was their leader. Much like the wars we fought after WWII. Lost by the leaders.
