A 65-year-old man is facing murder charges after he allegedly shot and killed a woman who turned into his driveway. Kaylin Gillis, her boyfriend and two others were driving in upstate New York looking for a friend’s home. Investigators say that after realizing they were at the wrong address, they turned their car around to leave. That’s when Kevin Monahan allegedly fired two shots from the patio of his house and one bullet killed the 20-year-old woman.

I’ve seen plenty of cars go up my driveway and my neighbor’s driveway over the years to turn around. never once had a gun been pulled, and I am SOUTHERN.
If he’s a reclusive old coot, he should’ve put a fence on the driveway.
If he doesn’t want people in his drive, he should pay money to put up a gate. But he probably doesn’t have that so he just takes a life.

This is absolutely senseless and disgusting. As someone who lives in the Capital Region and has driven those roads in the not-so-distant past I am especially shocked by this. May the man who did this rot in prison for the rest of his life, and I send my condolences to Kaylin's friends and family.
