Partial immunity… maybe more naturally resistant to the infection , but that might imply the character can only process a certain amount, so too many bites or a fatal bite would be bad.

If you noticed enemies have a blue bar under their health, thats their 'posture' I believe, If you lower that to 0 you knock them down

According to his character profile on the Dead Island 2 website, Ryan is an "exotic dancer" and he was holding a card for the "Big Hose House" in the beginning cutscene. I guess he pretended to be an actual fireman to get on that plane.
