Dead Island 2 – The Quick and the Undead

Dead Island 2 is an utterly ludicrous game about wading through the zombie apocalypse with a baseball bat and whatever you can successfully scavenge from the blood-stained mansions of Los Angeles…

  1. I feel like THIS game couldn't have came out 8 years ago…that streamer house, Goat Pen, and all the environmental storytelling and eventual side quest that happens there, that to me makes up a huge part of the atmosphere of the game, its supposed to be influencer era zombie survival, and that is unique to this new version of the game

  2. I’m honestly quite disappointed by this, it feels like the exact opposite of the original in every way. It’s way too over the top and flamboyant

  3. I swear to god the first zombie game that DOESN'T script a bite into the protag 5 minutes in would amaze me.
I mean avoiding getting bitten is like 'that one thing' in zombie apocalypse media, so why would we leave that useful element of human fear up to gameplay? CUTSCENE THAT SHIT MF

Who tf let a film school grad into the game dev building?

  4. Thank f*ck this game isn't full of terrible, so-called "Australian" accents, like the first one.
Also thank f*ck this video isn't full of Jon complaining about his female character being called 'mate' even though it not a gendered term in Australia.

  5. I gotta say, I never really got into the first dead island because it didn’t have enough base building for my tastes and the characters weren’t interesting in the least. This game has already impressed me with the writing and voice acting in the first ten minutes. Like it might actually have a story interesting enough to be worth bludgeoning zombies for the 14th million time.
