Early on in their marriage, Jackie and Howard Simms, two caring and compassionate lifelong educators, were told they would not be able to have children. However, in a miraculous story of hope, healing, and defying the odds, they have witnessed their family grow in the most wondrous of ways. Not only did they go on to have three biological babies despite their original medical prognosis, but years later also found themselves on a unique fostering to adoption journey, and were blessed with the opportunity to impact lives and invest in the next generation by welcoming three amazing young adults into the Simms family fold.
Watch as ‘George to the Rescue’ crew transforms the home of this joyous and close-knit group, whose ultimate dream was to have a more durable kitchen/dining area — the heart of their home — that would accommodate their large blended family so that they could all come together to cook meals, spend quality time, and comfortably sit at the dinner table to break bread and share laughs. The GTTR team, guided by host George Oliphant and interior designer Chasity Torres-Centeno, achieved just that with an open-concept plan, along with a surprise living room renovation that features a wall of stunning framed photos of this loving family making memories.
*Special shoutout to our generous sponsor 3M, as well as the following volunteers and local businesses who donated their time and services and joined host George Oliphant and Chasity Torres-Centeno, along with her talented team, in turning this renovation project into a reality for the Simms:

@george to the rescue I am following you from lockdown it's my favorite
I love George to the rescue bc unlike other shows that fix people’s homes and tear down the old house and build mansions to replace them leaves those families in massive debt bc they can’t pay the taxes. Seems like this team actually cares about these families not just trying to make money.
Wow, really the headline was on the mark, that kitchen was something else!!
I'm only half way through this episode but hands down, my FAVORITE one ever!! What a BEAUTIFUL family!!! ❤❤❤
Extraordinary renovation
God bless the wonderful sims family and God bless you george olophant❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
This episode was so loving! Congratulations to The Simms family!
George O & team….you guys are amazing! God bless you
Simply BEAUTIFUL..The family and the renovation.🙌
What a great set of parents. These two are parents, not foster parents. Thank you for your service to children.
I really enjoy your work and personality
What a perfectly thoughtful renovation ❤️🇨🇦
I didn't really see where this family was hurting that much. I mean a cramped kitchen, older appliances,so what. Try living a life where you do nothing but have to work 7 days a week and long days and holidays included just to get nowhere in life.Living in a run down old rental house.Appliances that work only partially. Never having anything goo happen for you even though you've spent a life giving freely, never hesitating to help someone and even go way above and beyond in doing so.Taking care of your mom and your handicapped sister and even your brother.Having to help an older couple you've known most your life with yard work, going for groceries etc because they are handicapped and don't have the means to pay someone and here i am living so far in poverty it isn't funny. My cell phone cost me $45 and it's years old because i don't have the money to waste on thinking every year i need a new phone but I'll bet there phones were all top of the lines phones and i can't even imagine what the bill is.I use straighttalk because it's the cheapest route i could find. I don't say they are not deserving by any means but they certainly aren't hurting.i just don't get it sometimes i guess. And George you need to go back to the way the shows were, where you showed the work being done. You spend more time on these clips with the family talking in the beginning to just short flashes of an electrician saying how the wiring is wrong but yet it's been there and working good for how long again?100 years? but never like it used to be. And as far as the one commenting about this not being because of a show, yes it is.
Honestly, I am just happy George lost that stach…it was bothering the heck outta me! Nice make over too 🙂
So well deserved family love you guys . God bless you all ❤
The blessings of the Lord💃💃💃💃🙌🙌🙌🙌
I'm not crying!!! ❤❤
What a fabulous makeover! But this couple has done the greater makeover, showing young people what family truly means. They are so deserving of being rescued.
