10 Things I Can't Wait to Do in Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores

It’s been over a year since Horizon Forbidden West came out, but fans of Guerrilla’s open world post-apocalyptic epic will soon have the chance to jump back in for another meaty journey. Just as Guerrilla followed up on Horizon Zero Dawn with The Frozen Wilds, it’s following up on Forbidden West with its own expansion in Burning Shores.

There’s plenty that’s been revealed about it thus far, the majority of which has got us quite excited to jump back into the game upon its imminent launch. So here, we’ll be going over a few things we can’t wait to do when we play Burning Shores- starting off with the obvious…

  1. i usually play on performance mode but honestly i'm really thinking of playing the dlc in resolution mode… should i? or are the visuals not worth the fps drop?

  2. I am really excited for this DLC, and the potential the third game holds, three thing's I would love to see in the third game is:

    1. At least one tribe that co-exists with machines in harmony like how the Banuk were able to co-exist with them in the first game even if it was only for a short period of time (A moments peace).

    2. I so hope for more unique Ground and Flying Machine's, with many different models, like how the second game added more varieties of Ground machines to ride, Eg. Charger, Bristleback and Clawstrider. I hope they can add many new varieties/models of flying mounts.

    3. I really really hope they add in areal combat. Having the ability to fire arrows on the back of a flying mounts would be amazing, I also hope they add in riders who fly on the backs of flying machines so we can take them down from the air.

These are the three things that I really hope are in the third game, if not I will still be satisfied either way for when the third game is released. Please tell me what you might hope for I am really curious to know.

  3. If Aloy gives Seyka a focus there could be some conflict there with the Quen, seeing as “Diviners” are the only ones allowed to use the few they have. Can’t wait to play this lol.

  4. Makes me wonder what the entire game would’ve been like if it was made only for the PS5, hell I wonder what every other game would be like if it was only made for current GEN instead of last GEN
