  1. Where did all this information come from? Specifically the Artemis 10+ missions and Mars mission durations? Adding your sources to the description would allow people to get more info and would be a great way to maintain credibility!

  2. Going to Mars and setting up a manned mission in our lifetime is not only costly but dangerous. We need to stick to sending drones and rovers not humans. 80% of the cost of a mission is to habitat humans, and sustain life. The time to get to Mars is too long. Until we can get there within a couple of weeks it's ridiculous.

  3. Mars is the last place any sane person would want to go. It is a radiation lashed desert. The atmosphere of Mars is thin and poisonous. The soil is also contaminated with toxic perchlorate salts. To add insult to injury, the dry Martian dust, being electrostatic, presents a further hazard to any would-be Martian explorer because it would wreck equipment over time. Being ultra fine, this dust would also pose a major health problem if anyone was directly exposed to it. In other words, Mars is a dump. In addition, there is nothing of any real economic value on Mars that would defray the huge cost of establishing a Mars settlement. Besides, if anything goes wrong, with current technology, a Mars expedition is at least eighteen months away from help. If people venture there, there exists a strong possibility that they will die there. Which to my mind is a total non-starter!

  4. What would you be willing to have done to you if you were offered a ride to Mars and back? No-one has discussed modding the humans for the journey. From simple precautions like appendixes and teeth through to radical like legs. The less human bits you send, the less food and environment support you need.

  5. your going to need people as insane as those that want to man a tank in a war, almost certain death especially in this modern world. So people on the cusp of being insane is what is needed to go to Mars because that red rock is also almost certain death.

  6. Going to the moon is a complete waste of fuel if you want to go to Mars. Sorry.
You waste more fuel slowing down to land, then taking off again. It's much more energy efficient just to go to Mars from LEO.
"we must go to the moon to go to Mars" is just a way for lunar advocates to keep from having their pet projects bypassed.
"In orders to sail from Spain to Florida, you must go through Greenland." similar nonsense.

  7. Or solitary confinement as in jail…….. And many do. It happened to a friend of mine and he is really fine. But I did find him one day sitting at the bottom of the garden eating live squirills.

  8. I wonder about going to Mars. I know they got to go through the Van Allen radiation belt but they do that to go through it to get to the moon as well. Just wonder the trip to mars would take quite awhile and even on mars. I guess the question of muscle atrophy does occur but how much.

  9. I would give up everything but the clothes on my back and a brief case of personal memorabilia to get a one way ticket to a new colony on Mars. Just train me on what I'd be doing there so I'd be ready.

  10. All these seems too expensive and hard to accomplish in the long term, at least to me, it would be an incredible success if they do it, but I'm not sure about the Nasa's capability of having enough budget for so many years.

  11. You really need to address the artificial gravity problem if nasa Intends to send crews to mars they dont want to be in zero g for 6mths or more by the time they land if they land they will not be able to get out of the chairs let alone go for a piss.

  12. I am pretty sure any plans NASA has for a Mars mission will be altered by what SpaceX does with Starship in the next few years. By the late 2020s all NASA's exploration plans will be built around what Starship is capable of doing and has demonstrated.

  13. The phrase in Star Trek doesn't say "Where no ONE has gone before" but "Where no MAN has gone before" (1966_1969). I was there, I watched the very first episode when I was 8 years old, living in Hawaii. Question, "So why does man think he should go to other worlds / planets when he doesn't understand and can't even properly care for this one, which he was designed to live on?" The truth is, in the flesh, man will never leave the circle of the Earth. I say again, "Man will never leave the circle of the Earth." The Bible is there (in paperback and online) if you DARE to read it for yourself. The Bible is for ALL to hear! It speaks of today, the future, the past and yes, even the mystery of before the Earth was created and the truth regarding man's hereafter (what happens to YOU after you die)! I'll tell a mystery from the Bible; "We are NOT alone, there are beings who have left their former abode and been cast down to Earth – they hate us with the utmost hatred, they are very deceptive, hiding in the shadows, bringing as much destruction to man as possible these past 6000 years. They are stronger and more intelligent than we. On our own we don't have a chance, but I thank Yahava who sent us Teshua by the power of Ruach to be our Champion (This is another mystery as revealed in the Bible – It was God's plan "Yahava" before the foundations of the Earth was laid). Note: Those beings, who are NOT of this Earth – they will lead you any and every direction, except the truth. Every word in the Bible is TRUE, so read it if you want to understand this world and your purpose in it. READ…..

  14. If you talk to any college physicist or astronomer Or talk to the guy on PB S spacetime You would learn that everyone of these videos about going any where away from Earth Is death by radiation in 60 days Fact And some idiot is going to come back and say they stayed a year In orbit around Earth that is still protection from the magnetic field

  15. Personally I do not think any potential manned flight to Mars or the Asteriods sc should take place until we have propulsion systems that cut the travel time down to two or three months tops

  16. Sorry to say 'Not quite there yet' is a bit of an understatement. Just a few scientific impossibilities to overcome before we get to Star Trek. Travelling Faster than Light, Mechanical teleportation -that sort of thing.
