Should defintly Play this with your mods in co op
The moment I hear "this is a card-" I throw my phone out of the window and I puke on the carpet
This game is significantly better in coop, each player only has to manage their own deck instead of all 4 at once
oh boy
another card game
Game's soundtrack and audio in general loses me before the mobile game ad looking art and animations. Uninspired music and dogwater sounds. Not a fan.
the music in this game is kind of meh
Vin: this is a card game!
Me: yes! I'm sick and need to sleep.
If you like card games like this I recommend Roguebook. Plays very similarly to Slay the Spire, Two characters that build a single deck you play. I like playing the Beserker Rat and Merchant Frog.
Vanquish the spike
18:26 Demon Vinny 👹
the art in this game reminds me of Adventure Quest lol
viny why play cardboard game, why no schüt
Thank you Vinny for the warning at the beginning, I will come back to this video later lol
Im playing this game with my friend since early access and its incredible good and very well made.
The developers are very dedicated, once they kept updating the game on saturday and sunday due to a bug that could freeze the game. They even joined us in our game to check our save file and find the problem and made us skip the battle so we could continue it. That was very nice of them.
In general I love this way more while I hate other card games because in this one the builds you can make are fun and the map and its paths as well as random events offer great variety in playthroughs and the builds you can go for are amazing. With what I said before the grind is okay and never felt tedious cause there were new things to explore or go for as well as heroes or pets to unlock on the way.
The only thing I hate is that the game default speed is just too low and you waste too much time looking at the combat so I use cheat engine to speed it up.
Slay the Spire is just boring meh RNG stuff to me thats just never fun cause you never feel the progression either.
Also if you mess up and dont read you can always reset the battle 🙂 (top right green arrow)
Not sure if anyone already pointed it out – every time Binyot used repetition training, the discard pile was empty which is why it never worked
Finally… Lightest Dungeon
2:04:32 made me freakin inhale my drink
I clap every time Binty spends his Mage's entire turn playing that 3 energy fire card that does literally nothing (seemingly without even noticing that it's doing nothing)
Why do card games have such good thumbnails
Thanks to vinny i began to really hate cards games, also thanks to vinny i can just watch these videos so i don't have to play them myself but still get the experience. Thanks vinny!
If Vinny likes card games mechanics he should defo try Griftlands
This feels so… dead inside, the game has no soul. It feels like it was a corporate greed cash grab kind of game…. Idk why..
game looks and sounds really bad imo but the gameplay seems good enough to balance that out. if people can sink 500 hours into a game that looks like a mobile ad then it's probably really good
My immediate complaint for this is the lack of engagement during battle. Not even any hype music
So happy to finally see you playing this! Though after hearing you might not like deck building, maybe it won't be as fun for you as I initially thought. If you're feeling overwhelmed, definitely consider playing multiplayer with pals so you can just focus on one character at a time. It'll help you get a feel for their cards and playstyles 🙂
Watching him skip Ylmer's Branch on Reginald made me physically recoil.
During battle, the visuals remind me of a weird blend between Darkest Dungeon and one of those ads for a colorful but clearly trash mobile game. Looks fun though.
