  2. Yes, I have been playing Adam Warlock a lot lately in my Invisible Woman/MODOK/Hela deck, and sometimes I feel like players would rather block Adam Warlock's effect than they would win.

  3. Thanos is easily the most hated card I have used in SNAP. I recently started using him and am not even using a typical "Thanos Deck". The reactions I get are people either automatically leaving the game, aggressive snapping, and normally emote spanning every time I lose. I don't have Shuri but suppose that card has the same experience.

  4. I hate leech with a passion lol. At least with Galactus (wich I own and play as part of my 3 or 4 seasonal deck) you can always kind of see it coming or just escape without remorse lol. Or better, win that one lane. because the game is kind of a new "just 1 location thing", I feel like it's a cool new twist. With Leech, I tend to tap the thumbs up agressively when I win lol. When I loose to Galactus, I always think I should have done better. When I lose to a Leech, i feel a little bit like someone cheats lol.

  5. Instead of hated cards, if I could just choose locations in general, I would choose that…. If I had to choose 5 cards though (a preface being most of these are my choices because they specifically attack the deck I play most, a Invisible Woman/MODOK/Hela variation), I would choose: Iceman, Enchantress, Rogue, Storm, and sadly, my current most hated card (even though I'm using the current season Rian Gonzales avatar 😅) is Cosmo. A turn 6 Cosmo into my Invisible Woman/MODOK/Hela lane makes me incredibly salty….. I'm sorry doggo!!

  6. Topic Idea. Top cards to drop to pool 2! My top pick would be Patriot since even in pool 1 you are just trying to get rid of your no ability cards and Patriot is a lot of fun and I had to wait a long time in pool 3 to get him

  7. So surprised that no one mentions Daredevil and Kang as the most hated cards cause Marvel Snap is proud of its “fast-paced” gaming experience but these 2 cards just dragging the pace.

For Daredevil: Every time the opponent placed him means that it takes double the time when turn 5. It’s terrible when you just wait a full of time on turn 5 for your opponent’s decision and then they SNAP at the last second. Also, an ability like Daredevil should never exit in a card game IMO.

For Kang: The same problem as Daredevil, cost you double the time on turn 5 or 6, plus a free SNAP? That just ruins the experience. The free SNAP mechanism should be adjusted IMO.

Never wanna play or play against these 2 cards.

  8. I definitely hate Cable, he just takes something from your deck without you having no clue what it is, especially when he is dropped and you don't have your trump card on your hand yet, its just mind games from that point onward until turn 5 and then BAAM, they drop your own Sera on you. 😖

  9. I agree with most of the hated picks but my sleeper pick is Dracula. My constant rules in marvel snap are as follows: Iceman always hits the card you didn’t want him to, Iron man is always in my hand if I play psylocke into negative and Dracula will always hit infinaut. On the off chance that I commit to a Dracula lane I’m punished and the only time Dracula does not hit a good card is if I could’ve won by playing into it.

  10. I’m with you cozy: the shadow king pixel variant is pure gold! I’ve become a connoisseur of bad pixel variants lately. I just got the hell cow one recently and it made my day.

  11. I hate galactus because it's too easy for them to not have priority. So they get to Shang chi you, you don't get to Shang chi them. Always the same simple game: Galactus goes off, play death+shangchi. So its auto retreat. Very unfun. Even disrupting galactus. Pretty much have 0 turn 6 games against galactus.

I hate leech because your cards no longer do things. Sandman and wave you at least have cards that do things, so you can try to do something with your cards. Leech just feels like you don't have your cards any more. Leech isn't particularly good, 5/3 sucks. You can win plenty of games where you get leeched. But it feels soooo bad to get hit by, I hate it. I wish they'd just let wave and sandman be the last turn counters instead of Leech.

Iceman is a very distant 3rd on the hate list, but it's annoying that this can hit a key critical card in the deck and completely ruin your game plan for 1 energy. Sure it's random and often not the worst, but it is also randomly completely detrimental for 1 cost.

  12. 14:45 "One draw from Adam Warlock is immediately worth it" – surely that's objectively not true? You could slot any other card instead of Adam and you'd get the same effect (drawing a card) and save 2 energy. Adam Warlock only seems worth it if it draws at least 2 cards or if it causes a reaction from your opponent that you can exploit.

  13. Similar Top 5 For Me 🙂

Iceman (high value, low cost, no risk, turn 1..)
    Yondu (same reason)

Shuri (no need to explain. Have used to climb but so extremely OP and boring.)
Negative (Love the idea of the deck but NEVER draw him. Too inconsistent)
Dracula (Often just a 4/20 that can't be countered)
Leech (please delete from game, ty)

  14. What I like the most about marvel snap is the 3 locations sistem and getting to play the board and guess what is the opponent going to do and where. Galactus destroys that, he makes everything so boring. It doesnt matter if I have something to counter him or not, in both cases he makes the gameplan be plain and linear.

  17. Alex my man. Pleasure to comment on your channel at last. I have positively name-checked you on other Snap creators channels, but now it`s your turn!! whoop!

Between yourself and Cozy you have duel-handedly made understanding the Marvel Snap meta both easier to navigate and more fun than I ever thought it could be!

I am 51 years old. Been a gamer since 1979 (Grandstand 6000 Deluxe console) but I have never delved into any of these card-based/turned-based table-top games…until Marvel Snap.

…and I am now hooked!! I am predominantly "free-to-play". However I have purchased all the season passes up to date. Zabu being my favourite. Hit Monkey a very close second now. Anyway…I digress…

I have watched every one of your Snapchats with Cozy avidly and this latest one was easily the best yet. In particular the segment on deck design. That was truly eye-opening and enthrawling. I have attempted to create a few decks with varying degrees of success!

You mentioned a while back about a "Deck Test" feature. I believe this is vital for successful deckbuilding. That said I believe that a created deck should have a limit to how many times it is used in this test feature. Five, Ten, Twenty times…whatever…I mean…you can only spend so much time on the driving range before you have to take it to the course right?

Anyway…enough rambling Alex mate. I just wanted to thank you for your ongoing commitment to this game. It is very much appreciated (from a fan`s perspective). All you guys who were involved in the beta and now create content are incredible.

Shout outs to: Cozy (obviously), Jeff Hoogland, Snapster, Molt, Bynx, TeddyNinja, Specimen (fellow Englishman!)…I have learned something from all of you…and apologies if I have missed anyone…

Please keep up the great work Alex. Massive respect to you.

    Loving life…

  18. I don’t hate Galactus.. and own and have played every Galactus deck.. it’s just how boring and obvious the standard deck is.. and that you have to play certain decks to counter it or retreat. Like my sandman against Galactus is well over 2/3rd win rate.. but I get sick of playing sandman.. so then I go move or bounce or sera and…. Oh look at that.. 7 of my last 8 games were Galactus!! And Galactus grinders are the worst…. Because they’ve already buckled in for that long grind.. and they’ve gotten to the point where they rarely snap… so even if they’ve lost 30 cubes it feels… they still just grind on Galactus.

Iceman is meh or “whyyyyyyyyyyy”. Everytime

Scorpion is bad when you don’t have a turn 1 and have 0 or 1 turn 2 cards. If they get a 2/6 or 2/7 scorpion that hurts.

  19. If Wong and Shuri aren't in this list I'm gonna shit in my neighbors flowerbed. Okay, not really, but I'm actively boycotting Shuri and Wong right now. If I see them, I leave. Look, I am glad that there are cards you can use to stop them (Wong more than Shuri lets be honest… Shuri is hard to combat because it hardly matters where the first card is placed and you need a good amount of power and location wins in order to maybe control them into putting all their power in one lane and still winning). HOWEVER, In my humble opinion, the moment you NEED or at least feel the need to run tech cards automatically in response to the meta is the moment I find the game tiring and unfun. Everyone should be able to play whatever deck they want without feeling the absolute oppression of power that cannot be overcome by your deck just because "reasons".

Wong unchecked is an auto lose because too many on-reveals are triggered one after the other. They will either Hazmat your side of the board into negatives, Gambit your cards away, flood the board with tigers and then buff them… it's not a good time.
Shuri left unchecked and you are dealing with multiple lanes with above 50 power. For what reason to lanes/locations need to have bigger and bigger numbers? 20 to 30 power should be the absolute max. Most decks don't even make it to 20 power per lane. That's what makes Infinaut such an intriguing card, he's a 20 power and as such requires a sacrifice of your 5th turn to play. What sacrifice does Shuri make?

This is probably a hot take but tech cards should compliment decks types, not be required to deal with decks you constantly come across. I should be able to play any deck without tech cards and still be within the same power ballpark. I may lose because of Shang Chi or something else. But if both my opponent and I are playing pure power onto the board (not a tech card) I shouldn't have to try and square up against a card that has double or quadruple its power unnecessarily. Thats why I don't understand what Second Dinner was thinking with that card effect. They should never have introduced Shuri that way it is. Maybe they should give her -20 power to truly sacrifice a lane. I hope they gut the card worse than Leader.

….As you can tell I've very heated about this lol. And its not even that losing feels bad… I can deal with losing when its an even playing field. But Shuri is a card that pretty much requires you nuild a specific counter deck, and given that I A) Dont have Shuri myself to even the playing field and B) Dont want to play a counter Shuri deck because marchmaking will put me against everything but a Shuri deck and I'll be screwed in those games… it feels so one sided that its not even worth playing against. I thought no card was going to piss me off as much as Wong does… nope, Shuri pisses me off way more. Still hate both though.

Been trying to get better at deck building for marvelsnap and with the sentry I came up with this. Let me have it in the comments

  21. 27:50 If they don't want Galactus at the top of the meta, they shouldn't require him being 6k tokens… Honestly, I still hold the opinion that the Token shop was one of the worst things implemented into Snap. It doesn't really help anyone. They think it does, but honestly… I was collecting cards faster from the Collector's Cache. I remember the last like, 5 or so pool 3 cards, I'd pin a card… then get it in a Cache. Then I'd have to wait 8 hours before pinning the next. And I'd pin the next, then get that one from a cache. I was getting the Cache's faster than I was getting tokens to use in the shop and thus getting cards before I could buy them with tokens. I know they said they were going to change it up and make Tokens easier to acquire and all that… But I just would rather have a crafting system in the game instead. Allow me to scrap unwanted cards and or variants and then use the scraps to create any cards that has been revealed in my catalogue. Even if that requires coming across the card in a game for the first time. I'd rather having the Collector Caches and a crafting system over the token shop that, lets be honest, is just a way for Snap to push their bundles that shouldn't be worth anywhere near a hundred dollars.
