  1. I have not played NMS since the pirate update because the ones after that did not interest me. This update looks dope. I will def. have to check it out. based on this update, it looks like we could be getting close to ship customizing.

  2. As I said in your comments the other day. More eye candy and filler content aren't the things that are going to pull me back to nms these days. I'll check out the psvr2 visual quality improvements. But I've got a feeling that's probably not going to look any more different to what we've already got. I really hope I'm wrong though.

Maybe the next update with the new space stations will have something of substance to it.

  3. I am so happy that you can hunt these ships down and find as many as you want. When I watched you play this morning, I thought it would just be your one Sentinel ship and that’s it

.. I think I might just start a new save and make these corrupted Sentinel world my main source of income 😁

  4. Finally some narrative content for the main game. Really looking forward to exploring these corrupted sentinel planets and their various new locations. Plus new ships, multitools and a new jet pack to unlock. Awesome!

  5. As a PC player this doesn't impact me yet. I'm worried that if freighters can be destroyed, will we have to protect our own freighters or flee with them? I don't want this to turn into an endless battle.

  6. "Whoever constructed and then fled these scrapyard encampments", are we going to get a new race soon? Also like I've said many times before, it feels like going to get another "great sentinel war" like talked about in old lore. Could the sentinels from the war in the past lore have been corrupted?

And look! Is that the glass that is kept being mentioned? The purple crystals?

  7. This makes me think of the Abyss update. A story mission that introduces some new tech. I'm always happy to have something new to do but it doesn't really add anything to the overall long-term gameplay loop.

  8. It's a nice list of improvements and quite a big amount of new ships, I'm pleasantly surprised. Judging it by itself this looks to be a great update. I'm now intrigued to see what the big summer update will bring now Hello Games proved they're not out of ideas or creativity, but it's hard to say if this update (or even the possible summer update) is enough to bring me back. It just depends how many features shown in the original trailers make their appearance, as well as existing features getting overhauls to make a more complete whole.

I think the reason why I can be so critical is because I'm basically looking for a "Freelancer 2", while No Man Sky has every right to be its own unique thing.

  9. Well, I was wrong, Captain Steve. You were right about this being a kind of realm of glass focused update. I was convinced it was "daemon" and would be automation based. Oh well, I was wrong again. I am interested to see how this update affects the sentinel wave progression. I used to tell people on the Steam boards that all you needed was an unmodified boltcaster and 1250 projectile ammunition, because that actually was all you needed. Maybe a rock to stand next to or a door to pop in and out of. You could work your way up to and defeat the big walker to end the sentinel threat just using that. Sounds like they're better. I just got up, can't wait to hop into game and see how this stuff actually works now.

  10. At least they fixed the flight controls a little. Still can't play until I can just fly with thumbsticks controls. This looks awesome though I hope they fix it soon. Motion controls suck, no matter how they function.

  11. Ok, the combat in this game pisses me off. I’m trying to get the new ship. You can not run away or counter the enemy. I was getting pummelled by enemy ships, I try to land, and the game won’t let me. I try to fly away, the game won’t let me escape. I try to fight, they can take half my heath off before I even see them. I try to fight on land, and it’s the same story, getting pummelled by the enemy constantly. What do I do here? My ship is almost wrecked, and I am quite angry that I now need to spend hours grinding bloody runaway mold and halal cores, and stupid sac venom. I just wanted to come and relax, but no! Not allowed to have fun!

Update: chose an unintended dialogue option when I had an interceptor visit me, because I was trying to use my thrusters to adjust distance, because the game keeps trying to have you slam into the back of or drift away from the other ship. Needless to say, I am a bit pissed the game made me choose “attack” which I assume has screwed me over.

Thank you for reading, sorry I had to rant here, but this has snuffed out any excitement I had for this update.

  12. I'm getting a little fed up with the bug's(meaningless bugs) that keep appearing. Now, i cant even use my controller on pc. Which would not be so bad, but i play the game from my couch

  13. the intercepter update is written for normal, hard, and survival can be disabeld on other difficulties. so to get the ship and multi tool swap difficult and be ready to get ship and multi tool and resources once got that you can return to old difficulty once you happy with what you have. also this way you may encounter least amount of bugs.
