High Republic should have been killer, but since they couldn’t possibly have made it more woke, it flopped. Stories about the Jedi Knights using light sabers and the force (can you say Swords & Sorcery) saving the day, doing good, advancing civil society not working? How bad a writer are you? How bad an executive are you? Just how bad are you?
The only way….and I mean ONLY way Disney can make Star Wars more popular again is to wipe all the content they have created so far (maybe with the exception of Mando and Rouge 1) and start again. New Sequel trilogy etc.
They need to do it quick before it's too late, assuming it's not already too late.

Every week it becomes more obvious what Disney management sees as important. Instead of listing the details, I'll just say that their priority is their SJW religion. And as long as enough people are going to the parks and spending huge amounts of money and that they are in the black overall they are ok.
They are fundamentalists with respect to their religion and they are morally superior. And for a significant percentage of their customers, Disney isn't evil and the enemy, they are just making mistakes. But all will be well eventually.
Until a hard reset happened at Lucasfilm, the core fans will not return!
I got into the Orginal Trilogy when I was around 4 or 5 years old. Star Wars does not need to be dumbed down for children and stuff like this is what continually waters down the brand.
That Barnes & Noble bit made me laugh. The only canon expanded content I've purchased were a few of Zahn's canon Thrawn novels, but that was some time ago. My most recent purchases have all been from Legends, as I've started to get into audio books. Marc Thompson narrates a number of the best Legends novels in unabridged form, and the productions are quite good. Also helps that Legends stories by and large are much better than almost anything canon is pushing out nowadays. #Legends4Life
It’s just so sad to see what’s become of Star Wars. Lucas originally wanted to completely separate himself and his creation from the studio system, but he sold out to the dark side. He should have just done a partnership with Disney and kept ownership in order to retain some creative control.

For the same price or less you can go on a real cruise. The Galactic Starcruiser is a really lousy deal. No wonder nobody is going.
Tim Zahn is a top notch science fiction writer and a really nice guy. I've met him, and have greatly enjoyed a good number of his books.
I really don't expect Star Wars to be good again until either there is a drastic change in the leadership at Disney or the franchise is sold to another company. The current management will absolutely refuse to give up on the woke messaging and start making something good. In the mean time there's plenty of good science fiction available, so I can do without any new Star Wars.

In to their second decade as owner of Star Wars and Disney still has no clue about the property. Not what it is, or how to nurture and grow it. All they saw were dollar signs with zero plans to maximize their investment.

Star Trek Prodigy actually is quality and pretty solid for an animated Star Trek series. Also it's a series that appeals to all ages not just kids.
