  1. In the beginning guy goes to let’s save our children! It’s our responsibility to save our children and do our best. But they over see and try to brushy the whole Epstein shit under the rug! And the whole wiensteins of the world! Please.

  2. Could have talked about how violence is incited in general, could have talked about how TikTok is used for adolescent porn, but she made it about herself first and foremost.

  3. 1. It's simple, the U.S. owes China so much money in debt, they wanna make a deal to get rid of some of that debt. 2. This is not a hearing, it's just BS listening session. 3. Parents should have full responsibility for their kids. 4. Meta-facebook/Google-youtube/etc collect data as well and sold them for money, it's the same thing that all giant company is doing. 5.I feel sad who voted for those congressman/congresswomen. 6.Tiktok is already different outside of China, and why U.S. is so afraid of 1 simple apps? basically it's competition agaist facebook/youtube. 7. I worked for an ads company that has data center in China, as a regional manager, China never requests any data from it. At the same time, the U.S. is spying on every country, with over 700+ military bases around the world.

  5. Michael Knowles said the same thing you did, though. We're going after TikTok but what about Facebook, YouTube, Google, and all the other social media. I'd like to stick it to the CCP because they are more evil than other evils, but yeah, banning TikTok prob isn't a good idea. What will get banned next? Banning TikTok is the foot in the door for banning more things.

  6. As a current 15 y/o myself currently, I feel as though even though it would suck to not have the ability to access any social media at all, but I do agree there isn't a single good thing to come out of it except for maybe teens striving to be a content creator and using it to be successful and that it's a good way to get news and things of that sort — save for Twitter, which I believe is far worse. Personally I get literally of my information about what has been happening currently through Asmon but I still feel that Social Media provides good info.

Also, for the whole Tiktok causing suicide, I would agree with Asmon completely, being around kids my age every day I believe I can say with confidence that it's not in any way Tiktok's fault, Tiktok certaintly does have a role in it but it's not the main cause of anything (I'm sure there's a few outliers but my point stands). Anyway I think they should ban Tiktok b/c it'd be funny and its free content for Asmon.

Edit: I also believe that their algorithm is way too big for their own good, you WILL get what you want on Tiktok and that is much different for others like Youtube Shorts and Instagram Reels. which just repeats the same stuff every 3 miliseconds. I stopped using Tiktok last year and it really shows to me how garbage every other media like Tiktoks algorithm really is.

  7. They're concerned about not censoring over breaching peoples privacy and using it for CCP gain lol. Seems it's all staged and previously agreed upon.

  8. It's very weird to regulate Tiktok because of suspicion giving personal information to the Chinese communist party. 🤣🤣🤣On the other hand, the US govt monitors their homosexual model's AV on Youtube or Reddit in real-time.🙂🙂🙂

  9. I think Tik Tok needs to go. Making short videos for our kids to watch with their already non existent attention spans. I like some of the comedy but 3/4 of the videos suck balls and too much kiddy softcore crap. I watch Tik Tok so little it isn't even a blip on my radar of things I NEED. I don't see crap on facebook when compared to Tik Tok. I am also able to watch my kids facebook easier then 30, 30 second videos. CCP and Russia are not our enemies…Putin is our enemy and Xi Jinping isn't an enemy just a competitor at this time. The Russian and Chinese people are not our enemies, in fact they prolly hate their government as much as we do aside from the zealots lol. I watch my kids and I parent my kids, it's much harder to mediate anything on Tik Tok because it goes by too fast unless you sit over yer kids shoulder all night long so no Tik Tok in my house. Youtube unless I start hearing a bunch of swearing with the exception of Rust videos because we all know RUST is RUST <3 Blooprint/Frost/Hjune/Willjum and all the other full time Rust streamers/content creators.

  10. Pelosi flying to Taiwan did not work. Downing Chinese balloons did not work. Let's try making the TikTok CEO a strawman to further attempt to provoke war with China. Sad, that our leaders have no other ideas than to start a war.

  11. Wait, weren't we just dealing with tons of govt coverups, train derailments, jailing journalists, that all got exposed via social media and especially tiktok?

No, wait, I think it's just because our congressmen really care about us 😌

  12. Why would it be impossible to moderate every new video? They have the money and resources to hire more people, if it’s really becoming this much of a problem, make it to where every new video that is about to be posted has to be reviewed before it’s posted, unless you are on a verified tik tok account.

  13. i think it's crazy people debating over TikTok being owned by china, when Tencent a Chinese company owns, Stripe, Shopify, Epic, Call of Duty, Riot Games, Zoom, Reddit, Spotify, Snapchat, Discord, and many others, and people are crying over ByteDance, because of "data"?

  14. is it good for tiktok if kids use the platform? – yes
is it good for the country if kids use tiktok? – probably no
the bigger threat to your children is they are not safe in schools. personally id be less worried about china ruining your kids and more worried about the threats within…

  15. Y’all need to read into what the “Ban TikTok Bill” really has in it…unlimited funding for federal agencies to have unlimited access to all of your data, allowing them to have the capability of detaining for whatever reason they deem necessary…that bill can’t go through. Seriously TikTok isn’t even the main premise of the bill…you can get fined up to a million dollars for using VPN’s, and if you can’t pay it up, they’ll take your equity in exchange…

  16. TikTok united both parties it is a damn shame.

Oh man google/smart TV's and even these phones keep listening to conversations then shoot you a Whataburger ad about that new patty melt. But didn't knew that I do not eat meat.

  17. It's interesting how many congressmen, including Dan Crenshaw, own stock in Meta and other US tech companies. If tiktok gets banned, users will likely switch platforms to IG and YouTube, increasing the value of those stocks. Isn't it nice how conflict of interest doesn't seem to apply to congress and our government?
