NOW IN THE GAME BY POPULAR DEMAND, four completely feathered animals – Deinocheirus, Sinosauropteryx, Yutyrannus, and Jeholopterus – are being added to Jurassic World: Evolution 2 in the Feathered Dinosaurs Pack! These designs are absolutely gorgeous and stunningly realized – and some of the most scientifically accurate dinos you can put in your own Jurassic Park, to boot. What do paleontologists think of them? The fact that the video is half an hour long to cover 15 seconds of content might be a clue – we have a lot to say, and we’re excited to share it with you!

To all of my color sight EVOLVED friends in the comments who see at least some orange, I want you to know I see you and appreciate you.
I liked their commentary up until the point they dissed Primeval, Primeval slander will not be accepted lol
I was just about to comment asking what your opinion was, but you’re one step ahead lmao, great vid as always!
NEW VIDEO SO SOON 🎉😄
Because of the new Pterosaur they're adding in the insect feeder too. Hopefully they change some other animals to feeding from those feeders too.
I have a feeling that there will be another feather pack in the future
Also, the Sinosauropteryx in the shot is definitely primarily olive green in this shot, with patches of white and brown. Sorry, Alex, no orange in this skin, but if the orange coloring has actually been confirmed by studies of pigment fibers in the feathers, maybe they’ll include orange as a skin option.
I don't think we'll ever get yi qi in dlc. The game doesn't have any other animals that primarily climbed and glided in the trees, and frontier would basically need to introduce a whole new exhibit type for them to look right.
14:50 So, the anurognathids were probably the pterosaur equivalent of modern day bats, yes?
I can’t wait to see these guys in game!
Do you paleontologist people ever learn what is memory on computers because if you have a model the same size that could take a hit and the game is unplayable so just don't judge honestly you paleontologist people love tearing into game developers so pls kindly take into consideration that you guys are failers in realising that both this game takes up 14GB right now and if each dinosaur was the right size it could be 19Terrabytes
It's green.
I think that it would have been cool if the new DLC featured the feathered non-theropod dinosaur Kulindadromeus.
Great video! Thank you for talking about this.👍
It’s dark green
Green or Orange? What are you guys talking about, its obviously blue. 🤨
Don't blaspheme my favorite murder goose.
It’s green Alex it’s green you color blind fool
I'm with Amelia and Alex, it's more orange/brown than it is green/brown. I can see the "green" James is referring to, but it's definitely not green like the trees in the background.
EDIT: after turning off my laptop's Night Light settings Oh, shit. Maybe it is greener than I thought.
as a brit the 'shooting galleries' one tickled me. hell ive probably said it.
Also Im colourblind… I would described the Sinosauropteryx as a browny reddy green lol. Like theres a bit of green, but on first glance I thought reddish brown. Then again the more I look at it, the more green it looks. So um Alex… we may be in the same boat here. I hope you are colour blind after dissing Primeval like that. Its great, you tasteless American swine. lol
I busted up when you said Primeval was awful and then said that you've seen every episode because that is 100% my experience with most dinosaur media! I don't know if it's the sunk cost fallacy, morbid curiosity, or just the fact that there's basically no other options, but I always end up watching whatever sub par dino shows that get made and trash talk them all the way through (shout outs to Camp Cretaceous and Tera Nova)
I'm psyched about JP FINALLY moving past their own canon, and once again becoming a beacon for popularizing up-to-date concepts of dinosaurs. Here's hoping this does well and they continue in this direction, going forward.
Green, Alex is totally colorblind lol
What's with all the cringy tension between you guys? I seriously suggest group therapy for your next Video so at least we're in on the "fun".
My problem with the DLC is that none of the Dinos look Jurassic Parkish. Like, yeah, they're all pretty and good-looking, but I feel like Universal just told Frontier to do what ever, and now we get realistic and Jurassic Dinos. Personally, I take realistic and beautiful Dinos over Jurassic Park Dinos every day, but the design language is also important.
I feel sorry for all people that think it's green. Learn to use a color picker 😛
All hex values are orange/brown tinted.
Love that big ol duck
Best Birthday gift ever! <3
Man I hope they make Deinocheirus able to tussle with the other big theropods in the game
I’ll be extremely disappointed if it just ends up functioning as a big gallimimus
Orange btw
Primeval is a great show and you'll take your insults back.
Apsolutly love this DLC pack, I do like how theres this concences that Deinocheirus just looks…wrong if fully naked, and usally has shaggy filements in most reconstructions, tho I have seen some with more limited feathers like Digital Ducks or Gabriel Uguetos, I assume here given the pattern and one of the skins looking quite like an AntEater I assume it was a big refrence here. As for its size I think it might actually be accurately sized to the real animal, JWE2 just has an issue with oversizing animals, even film species are larger than they are in the movies.
Sinosauropteryx is adorable and I love how poofy its tail is and its little mask, and given how from what I recall from most recent studdies we dont quite know if it was orange just the patterning, but yeah perhaps Alex might need to check his eyes heh heh
Jeholopterus is adorable! Finally a pterosaur with actual good colours and patterns, the moth wings are nice touch. I will admit when I first saw the feather tuffs I had an imidiet reflex cause I thought "Did they do a David Petters refrence?!" given how he thinks they where like Vampite Bats which we all know is wrong. But yeah lovely little critter.
And Yutyrannus looks fantastic, I know alot of folks REALLY wanted this one, funny thing is I first got introduced to the animal in Jurassic Park Builder, so nice to see it return in another JP/JW product.
And as mentioned the fact that these animals are so well known and understood pretty darn good, plus the fact that they all have feathers(minus the duck) theres just…no way anyone could mess up the designs. Which yes thats sth that very well could happen, but at least Frontier didnt drop the ball with this one than some other non film species.
