  1. YESSS, Beautiful on top 1 as it should. Sweet Carolina and If You Lie Down With Me are also some of my faves. You got taste, Aaron. 😌 I could never do a top 3 because I really love a lot of songs on this record, being a libra really sucks btw. Thank you for taking your time to do this, we appreciate you so much and can’t wait for the Ocean Blvd season to start on fridaaaay 🤍

  2. I agree that Lana is not a “Sad Girl” today but you’ll understand why she was given the title when you get to Ultraviolence and even a bit of Lust for Life.

  3. God! I love all your reactions and reviews. Wrapping up an album with your reactions feels like the end of your favorite show hahah! I could really sit through a two-hour video of yours and just listen to your inputs. Thanks for the hard work and effort you put into these videos, specially for Ethel and Lana's.

This is my least favorite album but it for sure has some gorgeous melodies i keep repeating as well. I love Lana and i'd end up loving whatever she makes. Dealer is a wonderful highlight.

Can't wait for the next album. Sending you so much love from El Salvador

  6. Was really surprised (and happy!) to see Sweet Carolina in your top 3, as it's probably my favorite one on this record, followed by Blue Banisters and Arcadia! This is far from my favorite Lana project but these three songs are really spectacular imo.

Can't wait for Tunnel — haven't been this excited for a new release in a while. It's going to be great getting your reactions over the next few weeks as we're still digesting the album!

  9. i’m sorry if i offended you in anyway 🙁
this is a quieter album. the production is not as intense as nfr or chemtrails, so it’s natural to be a little quieter and pay more attention to the lyrics. thank you so much for your videos. you are the best.

  10. When you eventually go back in her earlier catalogue it’s important to keep a few things in mind (so you have the right expectations lol):
    – her earlier lyrics weren’t as diaristic and hyper personal as in her last few eras, as you saw.
-but their escapism and world building quality were really present and to me that’s what made the first albums special.
-maybe if some of the production didn’t age very well, it still was very a vanguard at the time. (especially btd)
-btd is camp, paradise is complete escapism, ultraviolence is like a dark romantic movie, honeymoon is experimental ambient and classical and lust for life is a fusion of all her influences but brought to 2017.

just felt the need to warn you bc you seem to love her singer-songwriter work, but be prepared to experience something a little different when you go back ☺️🫶🏻

  11. I’m so happy that Beautiful was your number 1 track from this album. I think it’s a criminally overlooked song and one of the most beautiful she’s ever written. Like you, I was in tears the first time I heard it.

Thank you so much again for being such an incredible reactor. You are so thorough and extensive and it’s clear you really analyse and appreciate music on so many different levels. I’m so happy you are loving Lana so much, it’s a joy to watch you react and be surprised by her artistry. Thank you Aaron!

Literally cannot wait for her new album on Friday!

  13. yay finally sweet carolina appreciation! it’s one of my favourites from her catalogue, i absolutely adore the song it’s just so tender and lovely. it’s also quite rare to hear a song about (potential) postpartum depression so that’s always nice to hear

  14. Thank you Aaron, for all that you do in these quality videos. You post daily (which is incredible and I can’t imagine how time consuming it is to keep that up), and I find myself checking to see if you’ve uploaded any more Lana videos just as often lol I’ve been listening to Lana since 2011 and she’s my absolute favorite, and I personally love to just listen and feel the music; I never pull up Lanapedia of genius, but having all that sprinkled in your videos actually has helped me process the music and lyricism even more which I am so very grateful.

I had never watched these speeches but I definitely remember all the backlash she received for the subjects she sang/wrote about and she’s come a long way since, and I can’t wait for you to get to the BTD-Ultraviolence era and see exactly how far she’s come for yourself. Truly a master at her craft and I’m happy to say I grew up along with her♥️

  16. I'm glad you liked Blue Banisters overall. Sorry for my "bored" comment, I meant no offence, I just had the impression that due to the more low-key production of most of these songs, you didn't find them as exciting as NFR or COTCC.
Out of the three albums, Blue Banisters is the dearest to me and the reason for that is quite unique, I think. This was the time when I finally accepted that Lana will not make the kind of music she used to. I really enjoyed her earlier work with more luscious production, especially Born To Die and Lust For Life and then NFR being so different and unconventional, I was disappointed. When COTCC came out, I decided that Lana was no longer for me, we were going different directions and I practically slept on these two records for years. Then Blue Banisters came out and I was curios, hoping I might like this one. It was so personal and intimate that I immediately fell in love with it and I didn't care that they put a bunch of previously unreleased/leaked songs on it as I hadn't heard them before either.
Anyways, after Blue Banister, I revisited NFR and COTCC and I've come to appreciate them more. I feel that every time I listen to these albums, I understand Lana a tiny bit more each time. I think it takes real artists to make songs that unfold slowly to the listener, revealing just a tiny bit with each listen. These three albums show a really mature Lana and I can't wait to hear what Ocean Blvd will bring to the table.

  17. I wanna point out again (just like I did in the Beautiful reaction video) how heart-warming is for me you actually enjoying that song and now turning out to be your favorite in Blue Banisters. Older fans/annoying people that are more used to the popular Lana sounds and in-your-face production in Born To Die and Ultraviolence find this song to be boring or horrible when actually, the beauty of it it's totally encapsulated in the minimal production (just like the whole record itself) and the strong lyricism of not giving up of who you are (just like she sings in Violets For Roses as well) and to use the moments only sadness can give us in the favor of art because that's how she and her art works and develops after all. You're one of my favorite reaction YT channels and I really can't wait to hear your thoughts on Did You know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd.

  18. My faves on Blue Banisters are:
If you lie down with me
    Beautiful
    Violets for Roses

That trio really does it for me and I love that they're right next to each other!
I never felt that you got bored of the record. Quite the opposite actually, it felt validating to me how much you enjoyed it bc I truly love it so much!

  19. What I love about Lana is she’s completely an album girl instead of a singles girl. Each album captures a theme/mood and people gravitate towards their favorite based on their frequency. She’s one of the few artists where I can listen to the entire album based on my mood. She doesn’t put throwaway songs, but each song is strategic based on album concept

  20. I do understand why people call her sad girl but I feel like that name persists pre lust for life era where sadness was very prevalent in her music, of course sadness is still prevalent in her music but not as much

  21. I find it really interesting that many people complain that these past two albums have been monotonous, sonically speaking. Yet if you really listen to the songs, you find that they are all fascinatingly different and unique from one another. I really appreciate your willingness to listen to each song on these albums with an open mind and careful analysis. Absolutely love and appreciate your videos! Cant wait for dykttatuob!!!

  22. The 'old' songs are new to me, too. I love Blue Banisters and might actually prefer it slightly over Chemtrails. There's an understated beauty coursing through the album (maybe "Dealer" isn't that understated. Love the outro😊). I have a feeling it will continue to be a major grower. We have a kindred Top 3! 3) Dealer….2) Wildflower Wildfire…1) Sweet Carolina. You probably know that Lana's dad is putting out an album in a few months. At first, I thought this was a joke. Now, I'm intrigued. Thank you so much for another wonderful album reaction, Aaron. Can hardly wait to begin the Ocean Blvd journey on Friday!😊
