If my world history teacher could teach history like you do, I would have became a history teacher.

Its a Western misconception that hewould be buried in a tomb. His body was obviously just buried, if they didnt want it to be found. So, his remains wouldnt be identified. Tombs are identification. He obviously wouldnt even have a tomb

Of all conquerors, genghis was certainly not great nor were the mongols. He’s right up there with hitler, mao, and Stalin. If you admire him in any way, just imagine you’re in one of the towns where no one is left alive just to send a message. Not only did they kill indiscriminately, but also in the most painful ways imaginable. If you’re one of those people that I can’t use the word for on here who likes to take the contrarian POV to make yourself feel special and push back your glasses before saying something like “Well, umm, actually the Mongolians brought about greater peace and more secure trade routes that the world benefited from which outweighs the bad” 1. Can’t benefit from a trade route if you’re one of the millions killed to secure it. 2. You’re talking about the same trade routes that brought the plague, one of the single most destructive events in history, to Europe at a fragile time. So really, how had a net benefit from those trade routes? It certainly wasn’t Europe nor the people conquered to secure them. If someone can describe germans in ww2 as savages, that term can easily be applied to the mongols.

If I remember my history correctly, didn’t the Soviet Union, under Josef Stalin’s leadership, claim to have found Genghis Khan’s body and brought it back to Russia sometime during World War II before Nazi Germany's invasion during Operation Barbarossa, or was that someone else’s body?

So about 4 minutes on actual talk about hunting for Khan's tomb. Waste of time.

The best way to hide a tomb is to NOT fill the thing with treasures, just keep it small, place it where it will rarely be passed by and of course place it very deep so subsequent excavations will miss it. Perhaps disguise it as an abandoned mine of little consequence. Not sure Genghis did ANY of those but that 's what I would do (but I have no plan to have a tomb so…).
Now watch, when they finally do find his body in 300 years it will just be buried in some unmarked grave in a common cemetery.
