As someone who lives in Denver and has only seen a tornado once, the fact that one spawned in Yellowstone is insane.
I know some people who drove through Joplin a few hours before the tornado hit all they could hear was thunder.
On the topic of “crazy tornado damage,” my father attended an emergency management class in the late 90s/early 2000s, and a few of the speakers had been part of the disaster response teams after either the 1984 Barneveld or 1996 Oakfield tornados in Wisconsin (I don’t remember which, just that they were F5s). He said that, in their presentations, they included a few photos, depicting a piece of toilet paper that had been shot through the side of a house – through both drywall and siding. Not a single person in the class believed it, but the speaker had been the one that took the photos
I’ve never been able to find the photos, but if anyone happens to know of them, I’d love to see it
Some things I can think of that I don't recall being part of this iceberg:
1. Henryville IN twin tornadoes
2. No warnings for tornadoes initially due to fear of panic
3. Footage of rotating tornado where top of the funnel is horizontal
4. Tornadoes in other types of storms like hurricanes, blizzards and squall lines
5. The two funnel clouds that merged at the tips (there's footage of this)
6. Deaths of Randy Yarnall and his partner
I always find it kinda funny how less well-known the Black Friday Tornado is in the wider weather enthusiast community. Like I forget not everyone else is a Western Canadian and, when they started gaining an interest in tornadoes, was first exposed to the concept of one going through a major city through That Tornado.
Excellent videos, but… you forgot to mention the Terrible Tuesday tornadoes of 1979 in the Texoma region.

Your videos are the best! I am obsessed with tornados. I lived in Ada, Ok during the 1999 Moore tornado. The following day I had to go to Ok City for a meeting. There were horses and cows dead on the highway. Norman OK was gone. We moved to AZ shortly after. However, my daughter and her family still live in Edmond Ok. I never stop following big storms. Thank you for putting out such amazing videos!
That one person, who survived out of almost 70, with only 21 other living souls on the flight….all of whom had horrible injuries…….

I'm still waiting for someone to do an iceberg on icebergs. The material is there. In fact, a movie about an iceberg won the best picture award. So don't try and tell me that's not a viable idea.
What’s crazy about the tornado paths is that it doesn’t have to be some google earth size thing to see it. I drive by vilonia Arkansas which was practically destroyed in 2014 and it’s still super obvious the path of the tornado by simply driving by. It’s honestly pretty intimidating.

The weird thing about the Palm Sunday outbreak was that several tornadoes that day were twin funnels. Not multivortex, but "twin vortices".
May 13, 1980. A tornado came straight through the downtown area of my city. This was 3.5 years before I was born. It was an F3. The city was Kalamazoo, MI.

Every time I hear about Gainesville GA I wonder how that girl is doing since that was 20 years ago. Had no idea there was tornado lore there.
