The whistleblower on Chinese interference in Canada, in their words – #podcast

The Globe and Mail has been reporting extensively on China’s interference in Canadian elections. This information came to light, in part, because of a whistleblower who wrote an Opinion piece in The Globe this weekend.

The Globe rarely publishes Opinion pieces by confidential sources. Today, David Walmsley, The Globe’s Editor in Chief, explains why he decided to publish this piece, and how he feels it contributes to the broader conversation of China’s interference in Canada. And, you’ll hear the entire piece from the whistleblower, in their own words.

  1. Trudeau makes everything secret and has gone too far. It is sad that a person's security is feared because he has come forward in a democracy which seems to be now a fascist government and Trudeau constantly saying he wants a government like China.
Thank you for this brave individual who is a secret HERO. I hope he is rewarded in the future for his courage and pray to God for his protection.

  2. Interesting that this principled person made a point to focus on Canadian institutions rather than make this just another Political Issue. Too bad others don’t have this much loyalty, class and discretion.
The whistle blower said this issue also exists at the municipal level in Vancouver.
Probably similar across the country. Noticed that municipal and provincial politics are too readily influenced by questionable actors. It’s now considered business-as-usual. Probably over most of the country.
People like that? Far too many politicians are too ready to get in bed with, while pretending to hold Canada in high regard. Seems it’s considered the norm in my area. To the point where over 90% of the shooting deaths are unsolved because no one wants to come forward.
Culture of secrecy harms us all, and makes life even more treacherous for young people and children.
Let those who regard themselves as Canadian self-appointed heroes start dealing with the actual threats to children rather than continuing to politicize everything while they and everyone else suffer.

These issues are longtime problems. Decades old. Laying them at the feet of any one government is petty and does our country a disservice.

When we turn politics into a spectator sport we undermine our options and potential as citizens of Canada. Let’s not let the elite and foreign entities continue to pit us against one another.

Otherwise we’re just aiding foreign powers in weakening us and any democracy. It’ll only contribute to our downfall. We’re a target due to the future northwest passage opportunities, please don’t fall for this Long Game approach of divide and control/conquer.

  3. Very enlightening video, There’s this woman I got in touch with during the 2020 lockdown which cost me my job. Ms. Norman Davis helped me manage my assets by introducing my to the best trading platform and strategies, I earned a lot of $$$ working with Norman at the comfort of my home. I still keep in touch with the amazing lady

  4. Trudeau’s track record with his coziness with China’s CCP has just had another heavy weight tied around his neck before he’s thrown into the abyss.
How can any Canadians still be in denial and how can he and his party think they still have Canadians back? In my opinion they have are backs targeted not watched.

  5. The whistle blower is a liberal as are many Canadian citizens. This person as well as many other Canadians would like to vote liberal but not communist as this government seems to be courting.
They see a tyrant and a traitor to LIBERAL ideals in favor of a one world Marxist regime dressed in a liberal flag. A turn coat in other words. A traitor.
Therefore like this whistle blower, liberals in Canada are at a crossroads. Either expose him and remove him from control or elect him out by the next option. Cross party lines and elect the opposition.
I believe Trudeau’s liberals are counting on a bunch of weak minded sheeple liberals to continue to support the party simply because they say they’re liberals and have the backs of Canadians.
    So…that leaves only one option.
    Expose the treason!
Thank you whistle blower for your patronage, courage and intelligence in coming to this conclusion.

  6. Would not be at all surprised if the "intelligence" came from a certain fake religious cult. Will be amusing if this turns out to be another "WMD in Iraq" or "Steele Dossier" example of so-called intelligence.

  7. God bless that whistleblower.

This is what happens when the PM and his Cabinet lose the public trust and/or get compromised. They're not accountable to anyone and after 8 scandal-ridden years in power, these Liberals have no shame about robbing the taxpayers to pay themselves whilst being subject to foreign interference.

The RCMP should be investigating Trudeau, not the whistleblower.

  8. This reads like a “limited hangout” script. Where some truth is divulged to make it believable but the real dirt is left hidden. It’s done to take a small dose if accountability then imply credibility that nothing worse is going on.

  9. “Limited Hangout” according to wikipedia:

According to Victor Marchetti, a former special assistant to the Deputy Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), a limited hangout is "spy jargon for a favorite and frequently used gimmick of the clandestine professionals. When their veil of secrecy is shredded and they can no longer rely on a phony cover story to misinform the public, they resort to admitting—sometimes even volunteering—some of the truth while still managing to withhold the key and damaging facts in the case. The public, however, is usually so intrigued by the new information that it never thinks to pursue the matter further."[1][2] While used by the CIA and other intelligence organizations, the tactic has become popularized in the corporate and political spheres.[3]

  10. You can tell it’s textbook limited hangout with all the ridiculous qualifiers used by the “whistleblower”. Stuff like, “I voted for the liberals and hope to be able to do so in the future” and “while there are issues, I don’t think it materially affected the outcome of the election”. 😂. Qualifiers the liberal PR has been insisting all along but nobody bought. Plan B was obviously to send the exact same message out via a “whistleblower” using limited hangout tactics.
They think we’re stupid but reading some of the comments here it seems to be working in that, “The public, however, is usually so intrigued by the new information that it never thinks to pursue the matter further.”

  11. When the government fails in their honesty and their care for our democracy, then other, more honourable individuals who do value our Canadian democracy become heroes when they stand up for us all. We better make sure that this hero (or heroes) are safeguarded against the government punishing them for telling the truth.

  12. The electoral system appears to have been breached for the last 2 elections. Our government across the whole Country of Canada , Federal & Provincial has been infiltrated by a unelected group that we are all aware of who they are. How many people is that and I bet they are spread across all the political parties and not to mention the new young leader Warriors that are being groomed to fill every spot in every party as soon as vacancies become open. Not to mention people that were running in the past elections might actually got seats and should be in government, but that was also taken. And not to mention bills that were passed by operators that deceived the public have changed the course of our country. All those bills should be redacted. This is beyond serious and treasonous. We need a justice system that is completely independent from all political parties and respects our constitution of Canada and actually practices Honest Law, wether your a staunch political or a homeless person on the street or a cashier, construction worker etc, regardless of race, everyone is equal. It's all the time scandals piled on more scandals and that's all we have ever seen since the current PM has taken power .

  15. Unfortunately, I am reminded of January 2022 when a group of Canadians, including a Former Premier who is the last survivor of those who worked on the Charter of Rights, saw Canada heading in the wrong direction and decided a Canada wide road trip to Ottawa to protest.

Though it brought hope to Canadians that they were not alone, after being gaslit by media for over a year, little did they know that the Government planted seeds to the public through media to damage the reputation of the protesters before they even got to Ottawa.

May the identity of this whistle-blower be hidden until all the facts of foreign interference are well known by AL Canadians. We do not need their reputation tarnished and dismissed before the truth gets its shoes on.
