  1. There were some great points made by both Dan and Josh regarding the nature of hunting. I am content with the size of the deer that I kill – because I'm not trying to keep up with anyone else. I also view the competition of other hunters as just one more thing to overcome – I gotta figure out the buck and I gotta figure out the other hunters too. Great show

  2. I don't think cameras should be banned per se, but leaving gear set up in public areas is becoming a problem. Some public areas seem to have a stand or camera on every tree and this stuff isn't being taken down after season. Cameras and ladder stands are so cheap these days that a lot of guys just leave it out until it's convenient to get it, or they just leave it forever.

  3. Im older than you guys but i think violence in schools is much worse now. They punch teachers and everything. School shootings were unheard of when I was young. It's a different world.

  4. Thank you for discussing how farmers are bulldozing wildlife habitat. This has gotten increasingly worse in Indiana the past several years. So much hunting land has been lost for one more acre of corn or destroying woods/creeks so farm equipment doesn't have to maneuver around it. I like your idea about the state creating a tax incentive program for farmers to save habitat. Unfortunately, when it comes to being good stewards of our land or financial greed, the government will always choose greed. They care more about our agriculture income than wildlife.

  5. Unfortunately it takes a lot of definite evidence to arrest a poacher. They have so many impressive ways to improve their setup so to speak. Also they can use a bow at night with a light. Might not drop on the spot and they don’t track them because they have a higher chance of being caught. Just my take.

  6. So why does it matter so much if they banned trail cameras if everyone puts their nose to the Grindstone, they can kill a buck on public land without a trail camera we have become way too reliant on this technology. I killed two bucks this year on public land in Michigan and I have never once in my life used a trail camera to pattern deer I look for sign And then I hunt it and I don’t blow it out and I go as far away from other people as I possibly can, or I stick close to the parking lot where other people overlook, I watch deer with my physical eyes by driving around in the off-season and looking at them in their patterns and natural state It doesn’t take a stupid trail camera to kill big bucks. I don’t know how many people I have to tell that to. if you’re really as bad ass, as you think you are, then you don’t need a trail camera people have been killing deer for centuries without cameras.

  7. I live in Ohio and I'm subscribed to both of your channels. I have learned so much from both of you and I wish I had known you guys were coming to Ohio, I would have dropped everything to be there. Next year I'll have to pay more attention if you guys come back

    And
I was just recalling an old VHS tape I used to rent from the local Outdoor shop, Wensel brothers, one of them running through the woods with deer sheds tied to a rope around his waist “trolling” for Deer
