Tony, the Venezia was just built in 2019 so not very old just getting a “Fun” makeover. We are booked for 12 day southern Carribean in March 2024. Can’t wait. We got an amazing deal.
BTW, I was listening before work in the shower. LOL
We have an NCL cruise in mid-April and hope the e-muster is back for us. Three of the four of us aren't able to stand for long periods of time.

You are still correct regarding the most to cross though… b/c that was not a pleasure trip…that was wartime stuffing of a ship. Does not count! Those people sat terrified I am sure for 11 days or whatever it took to cross. 🙁
The E muster makes sense to me and it is a lot easier to keep track of who has done it. and I would also think it would require less crew to manage and they can work on getting the voyage on its way. Keep up the good news.
Cluster muster bye bye… My husband uses a wheelchair and the old time muster is very cumbersome and stressful for all. He keeps telling them if the ship is going down, I can meet him in the water. Lol E-musyer is better. – and if they have an elevator just for wheelchair, great but it will still be a cluster to get on it.
Yes the people need a elevator for them it's not only the fact they have sat there a long time but when the elevator comes it is to many people on the elevator for them to get on so they sit there even longer no one is going to get off so they can get on just pay close attention I have gotten off so they can get on I am a nurse and I see how frustrated they are while trying to sit there patiently

Thanks, Tony. I do not use the elevators often, but if I were waiting, and someone with mobility issues came up after me, I would invite them to get on the elevator first. It’s called common courtesy and decency, which are sorely lacking nowadays.
Am so happy my cruise is April 2 I hope the ENCORE start with not doing the old muster drill

My parents will be sailing on the Venezia this upcoming October, as their 21st Cruise! They're looking forward to trying out a more "European" style of cruising. Also, we Northerners are appreciative of cruise lines having dedicated ports situated within the Northeastern States, which saves us $$ having to fly down to Florida in order to sail. The more ships sailing out of NY or NJ, the better! Keep them coming!
What about a mail ship (MS)? Watching after an appointment between waiting for another appt.

Most folks who have the mobility issues are "old fat women" that if they got off the scooter could loose weight and not have a problem. No dedicated elevators to this type of person.

We just returned from a cruise on the NCL Jade. WE WILL NEVER SAIL WITH NCL AGAIN, nor will any of the many guests we talked to on the ship – 100% won't sail again. Food service absolutely sucked including the specialty dining venues. Condiments were diluted, food quality and variety have gone way downhill, crew are not happy, a lot of maintenance issues, systems not updated, you are "nickeled and dimed" to death, on board shopping had very limited selection, shore excursions not operating on time nor as described on-line, etc. etc. etc.
Nope – never again

We sail on the NCL Escape in two days. I SO hope that they go forward with the return to the eMuster early!
I think cruise lines would do well to put something on the boarding pass in GIANT RED LETTERS to report to your muster drill on boarding. After working on planning a cruise with two first timers, I can easily see how those who aren't big on trip planning wouldn't even know about it. The first few cruises after restart, crew was directing us right when we got on. Lately, not so much. I say scrap the two drink cut off and make it so your boarding pass won't activate at all until it's done. That said, Carnival in particular needs to do their part as well. Last drill I went to, the guy said "oh, you're platinum!" and gave me a fist bump and that was that. No, I definitely don't need a demo at this point, but if we want to keep this new way of doing things, I'm thinking they should follow the rules.
We got off the Breakaway on Sunday and the cluster muster was just chaos. I couldn't believe how badly it was done. One other thing I thought was bad was how the life vests are stuffed under the bed. It took a while for me to find mine since it was shoved to the middle and it would have taken me a while to drag it out in an emergency. LOL
We didn’t like the way walmart just chose to swap ships to make Norfolk port happy, so we canceled our sailing on the Venezia in June. They swapped the magic for that Italian nightmare. I took that cruise date and booked another cruise out of Bayonne with royal dollar tree cruise line.
Of no one likes megatron or blaster then you didn’t know transformers.
